One piece of information which I did not see in the post is the refining of accessories and the cloak. The cloak does not get any bonus stats, rings crit damage %/mag crit damage %, necklace physical crit hit rate/magical crit hit rate, earrings Max Hp.

New player

This is a great thread. I have not even got the game downloaded and think I can figure this out a whole lot easier then trying to do it as a noob with no knowledge of how it works. This is great thank you very much.:)
See you on the other side!

ii. Purified Fusion Stones: Purified Fusion Stones solve this bad stat problem, by allowing you to create a Mana Stone with only the stats that you want it to have, i.e. those stats on the equipment that you transmute the Purified Fusion Stone with to make the Mana Stone. This way, you can create a pool of stats that only has six great unique stats to draw from, which ultimately gives you a piece of equipment with six great stats. etc.

So trying to understand this part. Basically I would want the equipement I am sacraficing to have 2 stats each that I want to save. This way I will get 3 stones with a total of 6 stats and then place those onto the gear that I want to tier up? Another question though, will I get those 6 stats plus the current stats on my gear or do those get overwritten by the stones and I only will always get the stones stats on gear?

I hope I asked correctly as this seems like the most complicated aspect to the game so once this is figured out the better. Thank you for any response.

If there's already stats on the equipment, you'll get a mix of old and new stats, with the rule of the lowest stats being carried over applying. However, if you're tiering up gear, you shouldn't worry about stats, or use purified stones for that matter. Just use the cheapest stones you can get from the NPC to do it. Save the good stats for other gear.

Single stat stones

So I see a lot of people selling stones with a single stat on them. If you use the single stat stones x3 on your empty (say white, no-stat 101+ dura item) can you then use that item again with another single stat stone x3 to place the 6 stats you want on the item? *all the stats being of different tier/type/amt etc*?

Could Use Some Help

Okay, I finally got the nerve to try transmuting runes, making mana
stones, and basically learning how the Arcane transmutor works and overall am pleased on the learning thanks to guides like this, Youtube vids, etc.

I am however confused on some things.

Example:

In the auction house sometimes you'' find say a "Ring" that has a
Stat of + 700 HP's as well as other stats. Reading and checking links
on this guide...1 link suggests that if you were to transmute say
an Endurance Tier 1 thru Tier 10 Endu...the numbers I've added
with a calculator and this Link only come upto 621 or 641 I think
it was...so HOW are people getting 700 + numbers or have I
totally missed or misunderstood something here ?

If you can help with a answer...it'd be appreciated.

Thnx.

You're misinterpeting several things.

1. People don't stack endurance yellows, they stack stam stats of the highest rank possible.

1b. Stam X (35 stam) + Stam IX (28) + End V (20+50hp) + Stam VIII (22) + Authority (20) + Supression VI (30) will give the most stam ... afaik.

that's (35+28+20+22+20 + 30)*5 + 50 = 825 HP total.

that also assumes one can find a clean (no stats) ring ... so lets drop Auth (lowest stam numbers). for a more reasonable 725 HP total.

Now, if one has an item with 101+ durability or is hammered there is an additional 20% to stats, so we're @ 870HP. Finally, if we used Earings instead of a ring (earings when +'d with jewels add HP) and got it to +6, thats an additional 720HP, for a grand total of 1445 HP on 1 item! Not bad at all.

2. you can't stack End 1-10, since a) VI-X don't exist, and b) you can only have 6 (named) stats total.

I fear i've likely gone too in depth so here's the coles notes...

a) folks stack highest stam stats possible (yellow V or VI and Green X and IX)
b) max of 6 named stats per item
c) +ing with jewels can add HP or Stam depending on the item.
d) using cahs shop items one can easily get over 1000Hp on any item.

Need help please

Sorry to repost again But, I did forget a key question I've had and hoping
someone will be so kind as to point me in the right direction.

Firstly, let me say that over the years (15+ years) I've played numerous
online Mmorpgs as this is my favorite type game to play. I've been in
numerous guilds, etc etc. However, with Rom real life issues such as
work, family, etc. has come to limit my playtime. As a result, I decided to try to build a character that can pretty much do it all in game (Jack of trades Master of None) w/o the need of groups or belonging to a Guild
as Guilds typically require more time helping others than progressing your
own character with limited playtime.

As a solo player, I naturally want to in the end have the best gear I can
make, farm, buy, beg, borrow, or steal. In many of the Transmuting guides
it's mentioned about the YELLOW stats runes/mana stones ..etc.

My highest character is a level 46 Mage/Priest... and in all my roaming
of zones, mobs, and camps...I have yet to have a SINGLE piece of
anything drop that has a Yellow stat on it...just green.

So my question would be...is Yellow stated items dropped only by Bosses
or in certain camps ? And if any of this applies...could it be solo'ed ? ? ?

Yes i know that Yellow stated stones can be purchased from other
players in the auction house but a prime example would be that I have
a max of maybe 3.5 mill gold right now until i can figure out how to make
much much more money to afford those 4 sale...I would have to be
self dependant to get them myself for future transmuting.

Any help will be appreciated...thnx !

There's a thread in the discussions forum about yellow stats and where they drop: http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=17438. With few exceptions, yellow stats are dropped by world and instance bosses. Most of them can't be soloed by the average player, and many can't be soloed by even the most uber of players.

Error in Mavoc's tiering guide?

Great post!

Loved Mavoc's guide to tiering costs. I believe, though, I've found an error with it - a rather significant one.

Mavoc's costs for charges/tokens are correct.

However, to arrive at the number and cost of random fusion stones and T3 items, he multiplies those by the number of charges needed. 12 charges to make three Tier 4 stones, plus 12 stones at 1980g each and 12 T3 belts.

While it makes for an easy spreadsheet, I think the math is off.

When you combine three mana stones of the same tier, they create a mana stone of the next highest tier. Right?

Bear with me on this:

Start: make 1 T3 stone
stone+item+combine
Cost: 1 stone, 1 item, 1 charge

Next: make 3 T3 stones
stone + item+combine,
stone + item+combine,
stone + item+combine
Cost: 3 stones, 3 items, 3 charges

Next: Make one T4 stone
T3 stone + T3 stone + T3 stone+combine
Cost: 3 stones, 3 items, 4 charges

Next: Make 3 T4 stones
T3 stone + T3 stone + T3 stone+combine
T3 stone + T3 stone + T3 stone+combine
T3 stone + T3 stone + T3 stone+combine
Cost: 9 stones, 9 items, 12 charges

Next: Make 3 T5 stones
T4 stone + T4 stone + T4 stone+combine,
T4 stone + T4 stone + T4 stone+combine,
T4 stone + T4 stone + T4 stone+combine
Cost: 27 stones, 27 items, 39 charges

And so on...

The chart assumes the same number of stones and items as there are charges spent, this is incorrect, and pushes the chart exponentially off in terms of costs. While the cost in charges is accurate, the cost in stones and items would be significantly lower than what is stated, especially at higher tiers.

To make a T7 item, you need 243 random stones, costing $481,140g, NOT 363 stones at $718,740g.

Or am I missing something?

243 random power stones (same number of blanks and 364 charges) = t8 mana stone. Doesn't t8 mana stone make a t8 item o.O? Never tried it, that's why asking.

You need 3 of the same type of mana stone to tier up an item, so just having one T8 won't do it. You'd still need 2 more. Thilu's numbers are for 3 T7s.

I have read all and seems clear but I have a question I am at level 45 and so far have found only weapons or armor T-3, at what level you obtain weapons or armors that are Tier 4,5,6 or 7? Or after T-3 anything else you have to transmuted?

Unfortunately, you don't. The item takes on the Tier of the Mana Stones it's combined with. You can't start with items over Tier 3, but you can combine three Tier 3 stones to make one Tier 4, and then three Tier 4 stones to make one Tier 5 mana stone, and so forth, until you end up with, for example, three Tier 7 stones - which can then be combined with an item to make the item Tier 7.

By the time you have three Tier 7 Mana Stones, you will have combined 243 fusion stons together to get there... for this reason, Tier 6 or Tier 7 are the highest most people will pay to get to.
