I used the search, so i'm sorry if the guide is somewhere but i haven't seen it. How to make tier with yellow I stat? What do you need, and how?

I did some quick math, and I figure to make a t10 equip from a t3 using Puris and t3 items, if all puris were bought as x8 bundle (199 dias) and all diamonds were bought for the highest level only on double diamond sales (8000 dias/$129.99) it would cost $2651.86 for enough puris.

If you wanted enough AT charges to do this, and bought the charges using Phirius tokens, you'd have to do all 10 dailies every day for 8 years, 1 month, 2 days (and have about 10 tokens left over).

Isn't math FUN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

On an unrelated note, does anyone have $2651.86 to spare for me? Anyone?

Is there a guide on how to use the yellow stats when tiering up a weapon - im guessing that u put the yellow stats on first then tier it up with a higher lev stones after? (Putting the weapon in the lower right corner for the final tiering)


Also - with the release of the fusion stones with III and IV stats - what does that mean to the yellow stats that you could in theroy that you could use? - would it be possible to use all Yellow III's and have them stick if you use Fusions stones with all III stats? and what about the Fusion stones that are all IV stats? -

I think the best you can do now is yellow II stats since green IV = yellow II. Check out this thread to see what greens are equivalent to what yellows: http://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=65569

you're actually better off with green IV over Yellow II for the most part, unless you really just need to be that different the work/cost isn't really worth it.

Green IV = Yellow III based on that guide - so with some carefull positioning of the stones - hopefully ill end up with all yellow III's.

Oops... yea you're right. A lot of the IV stones come with a III attached to them though so good luck with it.

Yeah, you need a lvl 50 purple tier 3 item to make a tier 4 mana stone, but a lvl 54 blue item of tier 3 will also make a tier 4. A low level character can get quite a few of the blue 54 items to use for tiering from the Seige Wars rewards packages! BTW Nice guide!

I guess replying to a guide can't be considered a thread necro so you are safe there . Also for those that can make their way to Limo there are vendors selling base t4 gear. I think belts go for 5k...so its considerably cheaper to do it now.

that's exactly what we're referring to when we say "tier". Unless other wise stated, assume all tiering is done with dirty stats.

Also tiering one's weapon isn't really worth the investment until 50+ where you'll be using the weapon for a while. You could tier a level 30 weapon, but you could level to 40 in a day, and the investment wouldn't be worth it.

I tier my weapons to 5 for alts, but I have the means to do so. I find the best weapon for my character at a given level usually 20, then try to find upgrades every 10-15 levels. This ensures I get some use out of weapons before upgrading.

For newer players I don't recommend this, as it's not necessary and it's rather expensive.

Yes, you tier with those... It is really a time-money tradoff as is most everything in this game.

To make a T6 stone, it costs...

1) 9 fusion stones. Cheap dirty ones are OK, because tiering with anything else is prohibitively expensive. So, 2K x 9 = 18K
2) 9 tier 4 items. As mentioned, in Limo, they sell T4s at vendor. If you can get to Limo, it is 4K per, so total is 4K x 9 = 36K
3) 13 AT charges. That is where it gets expensive... AT charges are usually gotten with phirius, so it would cost 390 tokens, or 4 days worth of token. That is why most people run alts. Alts get 10 ATs and with 9 dailies, they get needed 13. No money investment here, but you need to level alt to L10 to get your AT unlocked.

Overall, T6 building cost is 54K... unless you can't get to Limo. In that case, they sell T4 belts on AH for 8-10K. That bumps the cost to about 100K for T6.

That should help you decide if you would rather buy the stones on AH or make your own.

Now, lets see the costs overall. I'll assume Limo and I will round cost down from 54K to 50K since you get some junk that alt can sell..

T6 = 50K x 3 = 150K (3 alts)
T7 = 150K x 3 = 450K (9 alts)
T8 = 450K x 3 = 1.35M (27 alts)
T9 = 1.35M x 3 = 4.05M (81 alts)
T10 = 4.05M x 3 = 12.15M (243 alts)

Ouch... I think I am going to have to settle for a T9 for my big weapon.

t6 is good enough for doing "meh" dps in game and in instances until you hit your "real" weapons.

What i'd like to see here is a cost list for all teirs upto lvl 10 just to help ppl know how menny of each they will need .

Cost lists are not really natural match for a video tutorial. And then there are many complex factors, even for written tutorial. Is it cost in gold? Diamonds? Do you buy your charges in item shop? Are they at regular price or on sale? Do you get them with tokens? Do you get them from goblin games, which gives you 3 cheap charges but only once a day? Do you have access to limo and their T4 belts? Do you have access to SJF/NJF and can gather green drops that push into T4?

And Swag said in his other video thread that he is not trying to cover comprehensive tradeoffs and methods and effectively bypass the discovery process; instead it is just to push them in right direction.
