Would a GM please reply with the alleged "bug" with Locklay? There's quite a huge issue on our server (name withheld) about a certain large guild being able to use the "bug" but if anyone else not in said guild does it, then they are using an exploit. Messages have already been sent to the GM's with no response...and things are getting pretty heated. Personally I don't think it's a bug since there's NPC text in-game that seems to hint this is the way you're able to do things. Maybe the NPC chat needs to be removed if the encounter is going to be changed. But some clarification from a GM would be nice since this "said guild with GM ties" is able to do what they want as it is but no one else can.

I wanted to add this information for anyone doing the quests.

1) Each of the Pillagers has a specifc drop for the tokens and you need to get 5 of them. The Pillager by Blane drops the first, the pillager that patrols by the bridge drops the second, the pillager that patrols near the road to the columns drops the third and the pillager that goes by the waterfall and around the mound drops the fourth and the pillager in the cave that comes out to the tent and back drops the 5th.

I got to the point where I was looking at the pillagers weapon to know which of the stones they would drop.

2) The Giant Rune Guardians seem to be able to spawn multiples at one time. I was going between the camp up on the hill by the stonehendge looking thing and the camp just by the lake with the broken idols and the dual middle of the lake spawn and he was at 2 of them simultaniously.

These Giants DO spawn in place of the warriors. So you will want to farm them down to make the other spawn.

3) Here is what I found out about the Scaloks
Location - Mob - Elite that spawns
Mispel Marsh - Furious Scalok - Red Flame Scalok
Scar of Despair - Lurking Scalok - Poisonous Scalok
Fogur Marsh - Wild Scalok - Sandy Scalok

These also spawn in place of a reg Scalok

I BELIEVE these are all linked if one is spawned at another camp it will not spawn at the camp your at... I can't seem to get them to spawn independantly and never find all 3 up at once. I can't prove that and may be wrong but I have not seen a time when multiples are up and I have LONG spots of killing where nothing spawns until I go to another camp where I find an eliete up.

Anyone else having issues with Scalok elites not dropping water plants? 10+ and nothing for me :( This common? thought they were a guaranteed drop.

One of my guild mates was complaining about that last night -- took him killing 15 of them to get the first plant.

Being in a party seems to resolve the drop problem. Guildie experienced this on the scabby paper as well. Always had 100% drop while in party.

Could you please edit into the first post that Meat, eyes & horn are bosses as I was expecting an elite for the pillager leader being that all the first ones are elites lol. It was rather a suprise :)
It's just so we know what we're in for.

I have ports marked, brown, green, red and check several times a day. I have found all 3 up at once one time only. Once in a while 2 would be up. The red one is up most frequently it seems.

Red is the easiest to farm in my opinion, he repeatedly spawns if you kill the other scaloks. The area is relatively small compared to the other two also.

killing ice burst lockley is impossible, last night my party with average gear try to beat him.....but this boss doing something AoE range damage which is cause some priest and mage die in 1 hit . this skill is ridiculous there is no cast and 1 hit die to 6k cloth . Does anyone have strategy to beat this boss?

i'am tired being killed with this boss

Not impossible, your party just needs more HP, plain and simple. His aoe will hit for 5-6k damage, so everyone in your party needs at least 8k or more to survive it.

I don't have a problem in gathering the various materials needed for the complete set. It is a special set of armour so you'd expect it to be a little more difficult to get. However, what angers me is the fact that once you have gathered all the materials and exchange them for the selected piece of armour, it's durability is random, and can be as low as 79 as in my case with the cloth breastplate. Surely, those in charge of ROM can be a little bit fairer, and make the minimun durability of each item of Armour 101. I'd be interested in what others have to say about this fact also.

I want to know what the problem with locklay as well, doe this prevent you from getting meats all together? I need to know before I invest time into gathering these things

the problem with Locklay is that the guard outside his cave does not run away anymore and without him gone, you can't turn off the barrier to get inside. Once it works it's not a big deal since he spawns every 30 mins and we do runs for gnolls or eyes depending on the group makeup.

It's a grind, but the armor is worth it for the Stamina bonus.

As for the previous comment about durability. I think it's fine, maybe a min would be 85 dura just so it's worthy of being a high quality set, but there is a reason a lot of people grind it out to get an over-dura set.

Overdura would be really great, but even 90+ would be nice. My shoulder guards have a low dura of 75, which is lower than those regular quest rewards. It was the reason I gave up on black codex.

Not worth it anymore with the quick leveling to 55. I'd recommend over-dura gear from AH and just use that. I wish I didn't go down the Black Codex route given all the pain and little gain I got out of it.

I would have been better off going for 2-piece Acolyte's instead for the 15% mana reduction.

Its a very old post but it brought back a lot of memories, i spent sooooo much time on this. gave up with 5 of the 8 pieces acquired, then complained about it for 3 weeks lol

Black Triumph Set

First off...ThePatriot76...thanks for the new required mat numbers. I was using an old guide at first and it didn't match the total req'd mat numbers for what I actually needed. I was thinking of creating a post with the new info, until I found yours. Btw...what server are you on? If you're on the Govinda server, I would love some help farming the meat/eyes and knolls. I am farming this set for my K/R Galanath now, since Clops on Govinda is broken. I need some decent gear so that I can get into HotO runs. Currently, I have just over 10k HP using statted lvl 50+ overdura white gear with mainly Sta X - XI stats.

I have already done most of the farming in Sacillia Steppes, except for a few Transformed Goathorns. It is turning out to be a very boring grindfest and I am mainly doing it solo, but I will need a group to run with for the meat/eyes, cause dang, there are a LOT to get and I can't solo them atm.

Since I have been doing the "easier" ones solo, I now have sorta mastered the process. So, if anyone on Govinda server is starting out farming for this set, feel free to pst me in-game for some advice.
