CS jewels do have a higher success rate, though not by much.

I've been told that it's 20% vs 10%, as well as not dropping below +1.

It would have taken you the same amount of time to post a quick translation of the 3 or 4 slang terms as it took you to write your "too bad for you" reply. I apologize for asking for quick help to read your guide that I was interested in, lesson learned. Have a great day and thank you again for this guide.

I thought the same thing at first lol. Last week, this thread totally lost me.

This week however, it makes perfect sense (well, most of it...still don't know what 'chick' is...lol). See, I got in game...modded a few pieces of gear to tier 3 and +2...and voila, I have the base knowledge to understand the guide. It also helps that I've pored over the other modding guides on this board as well. Even so...those too only made minimal sense until I actually got in and did it. My toon is only 31/30, and in the last week I've turned most of his gear into high durability, partially statted (used 3 stat fusions from the AH), and tier 3. It's also white so it can be sold back on the AH for a couple hundred k when I'm done with it. I usually only have about 50-75k in a piece tops between the stones, and the tier 3 stat items I buy from the AH to make the tier 3 mana stones with.

Anyhow, thanks for the great guide =D.

Chick= the giant bird thing in the underground dungoins in Harf tradint post the one you need to gather feathers for.
Puri = a purified fusoin stone, these can be gotten by getting 1100 pharis tokens or using dimonds.
T2=T indicating tier then 2 the number telling what tier
Dirty stated items are items that have a stat that is not of any worth such as a strength 1. This takes away from the 6 stats you can put on the item.
A clean item is a item that has no stats on it.
Overdura is when the durability on a item is over 100 usualy better to wait till you can find a item with at least 110 durability if you are going to stat it.
Tiering a wepon gives a 10% attack or deffense bonus to a item. You can look at a item to tell its tier but I think it goes. Tier1 is 1-20. Tier2 is 20-40. Tier 3 is 40-55. What they were saying about tiering up a item using Chick is that the purples when turned into mana stones go to a tier 4 saving you money and arcane transmuter charges(lvl 55 blues also turn into teir 4 stones). Also it is realy only worth while to tier up main hand wepons and 2 handed wepons. When tiering up don

Is there a reason to tier your accessories (rings, necklace, earrings)? I can see why you want to +stat them, but does tiering add any value since there is no physical or magical defense associated with those items.

Accessories don't get any benefit from tiering, other than that you can put higher-level runes in the slots. So it only makes sense for the Vahtos set that you'll keep for a long time. Even then, tiering the accessories up to tier 3 is usually just a side-effect of putting higher-level stats on them.

Thank you! And to clarify the "dirty" definition further, any transmutation (tiering stones or combining them with equipment) keeps only the lowest six stats. So, dirty stones are dirty because they pollute the results with worthless stats, for example six different level 1's.

Thank goodness for the community! If we all relied on the instructions that came with the game, we'd still be struggling to make 10th level.

Apologies to OP if this is an unwarranted addition to this thread, but I thought to add some more to cost effective upgrading and a bit more explanation to newer players; it took me quite some time to understand the whole upgrading system in RoM. I wish to expand this discussion, and go in better detail on how this all works. If you are a combine vet and are pro about all this (or super rich), stop reading here. Anyways, the OP was very very helpful, much thanks! Anyhoo....onwards!

Another trick is to just use 1 stat fusion stones like 3 stam...around 200-250k per on my server. Pretty expensive perhaps. But compared to min 550k gold if you were to buy diamonds off the AH and then purchase a puri stone and or buying already made expensive mana stones...it is cheaper, allowing you to save valuable gold, diamonds, and puri stones for real gear later. You can even send the materials to a lvl 10 alt who farms tokens every day so it can combine as well, thus cutting costs down more. Every three days per alt = 10 free transmutor charges.

Essentially you can also make a 1 dirty, 5 good stat gear using quest rewards and loots. Make sure all the stat levels/types but the dirty are different! If you use 2 of the same, it will take the lowest one and null the other. That is no good! Also watch out when you are ripping 2 stat items, it might make a different tiered mana stone which I did once by mistake; always check window in transmutor first.

~Method using 3 stam fusion stone to create a simple 6x green stat item~

Combine 3x mana stones Part 1,2,3:

1 stat fusion stone + rip one stat from an item.
1 stat fusion stone + rip one stat from an item.
1 stat fusion stone + rip two stats from an item.

Combine Part 4:

Mana stone 1: 3 stam - X stat
Mana stone 2: 3 stam - X stat
Mana stone 3: 3 stam - X/X stat
Item you wish to upgrade with X stat already on it

(note: X stat = the stat(s) you want)

Hit confirm and now you have an item with 3 stam/X/X/X/X/X! Yay!

If you are hurting for cash, diamonds, and gear...this is a less expensive way to get mid ranged upgrades. If you are poor like me, it will save you many millions of gold. Sure not even close to the best uber gear, but it's ok I guess until you can afford better. Anyways....in theory, one could also apply this method to yellows and create an item with even more stats in a more complex process; 1 dirty and 10 yellows without even using a puri? The loss of 1-2 stats would not make it perfect, but heck if you are on a budget...this would be awsome. Not sure, though, if this would work atm: I can't afford or have access to materials needed to test this quite yet.

Side note...keep an eye out on the AH for cheap 2 stated items and also 2 stat mana stones, sometimes you can make the process cost less (this is rare though).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First screenshot using 1 stat fusion stone method = 600k-750k using AH fusion stones.

Second screenshot using 2 stat fusion stone method (visual example for the OP) = 180k-220k using AH fusion stones.

As you can see, 1 stat fusion stone costs way more than the process using 2 stat; you pay more for one extra stat...it's up to you in the end on how much you want to spend. Using puris to make a perfect 6 stat item would cost aprox 1.8-3 mill in AH bought diamonds...good deal? You be the judge! Lastly, I made these as a temporary gear upgrade and too test the OPs suggestions since I was still unsure exactly how all this transmuting business works. Now I know and hopefulley you do to! All the stats I used here were gained while questing and grinding Ravenfall, WC, and SL. :D

Sorry for the long post, I hope this helps someone. Thanks for reading.

Buy a 110+ dura, clean white and use a set (3) two-stat fusion stones + 3 of your desired stats. Throw these on the item. Notice this item will have 5 stats. If this is a temporary item then the beauty of this is once you get your clean (ie one yellow stat on it) purple item, you can take the white re-use the stats on the white item. To do this just simply transmute your white item that already has 3 stats, 2 dirties and match with with the appropriate fusion stone. Create two more mana stones that match those dirties with a couple of clean items (vendor belts are cheapest) then combine these three mana stones onto the purple item. IMO that's the best way to handle temprorary gear so that you can essentially recycle stats. Financially, all you lose in this situation is the cost of plussing the high dura white item.

Thanks DStrick! This has been one of the best helpful suggestions I've read about upgrading transitional gear.

I got a question, if I wanted to do the 4 good stat on an item would i be able to achieve stats to run instance such as TT and HoTo.

I am a lvl 53/37 M/P. Current weapon is a Tier 5 Soa.

If you used green X/XI and farmed illumine5 (ma/clops), and statted it well, yes, you could get enough hp and ma to get into hoto groups. Not sure why you would want to run tt...I ran it once to eliminate the quests and the only reason I go back is for memories. Additionally, it would depend on your group. Most pug groups won't be as willing to take you, but if you have a good guild, you should be able to get into more runs.

The one thing you MUST do, is get a better weapon or tier the one you have to t7+. I would suggest saving up gold for when you hit 55 and get a cheap 55 and t7 it. Heck, if you are on artemis, I might have one sitting in my bank ready to be made a t4 stone.

They've added the higher level armour and weapon jewels to the TOKEN shop now.

+1 for f2p'ers.

I would also like to add that by either getting the fusion stones from turning in Naga dog tags or looking in the AH, you can search for some stones that match you Vahtos set if you are a caster. You can same some good money this way.
