Since te beginning of time, I've always been a guild leader, and I'm sure you guys have too! (common guys, no denying here, is all good) :p

So naturally, I would want to be a guild leader in rom! only a few problems...

1. why is it that it's so hard to get good, nice, active people and what can one do for it?

2. announcements? what do I say to my guild?

3. how do I get my people gathering? c'mon guys, u obviously have time to troll te chat, get out there for mats!

4.contests, we all love them, so how do you make good contests?

5.raids, dungeons, party quests, sure, but how do you get your people to actually run this crap with you?!?

6. castles! win! but what's worth building, what is good for sw and what does one need just in general?

7. how do you know if your people are active?

8. what do you put as announcements?

1. Its not hard, you just need to try and keep it going. I wonder how i get so many people too, i just throw out recruitments ALOT and the ones that are good members stay, the others quit or leave.

2Announcements should depend on the guild, if u want to run instances tell what to run and the requirements of it. If you need resources for guild telling them that(offering to pay doesn' hurt).

3To get you guildies gathering can be tough, you best bet is do it yourself i know you think that to be a guildy they should just hel you, but not everyone is committed to a guild especially (or so it sounds) like your just getting on your feet. as far as your members know you could quit tommorow and everything they gave was worth nothing.

4 Contests? well it depends on what you have, if your poor, pet eggs are great starters as giveaways, if your not gold. I start with give always because if you have terrible rewards no ones gonna play. Some ideas are
A Hide somewhere make them find you
B Raise guild mats: you know itd be fun if there was a reward
C Leveling contest.
D let them give u ideas

5 Depends on the levels and how well they are on gear. If there high lvl low gear tell em how they get some. if they're low level i would say leveling is most important

6 Academy is first you need it for everything else lol then library and the Processing factory is a must for SW. The gathering station can be nice but only required for certain things (i think anyways) towers can be nice, but most higher ranked guild delete them and use a second processing factory, until they get better walls anyway(if they do)

7 to check activity click "Show offline members" and then click in the top tight corner the drag down bar. Then click Connection status, this should show the amount of time theyve been offline (it might take a few seconds to load times)

8 messages you think guild will use like addons and vent or instance gear. etc

Hope this helped :)

I'd like to know how to get one created. I paid the 100k to get it started, but I can't invite anyone in "petitioning" status. And I want to know if I can change the name of it before it's fully establishd.

You cannot invite new members into a guild two hours prior to Guild Siege and for one hour after Guild Siege. And once you have chosen the name for your guild, it cannot be changed afterwards.

1. Why do I want to join YOUR guild? There are a few hundred of them out there, what sets your guild apart.

2. Announcements, you really have 2, a daily announcement that you see when you log in and is for anything you want to communicate to the guild that is current and info that changes, Run schedule for the day, mats needed for the next castle upgrade, contests, upcoming guild meeting, etc. General announcements is for reference, Raidcall info, guild rules, list of guild leaders and what they do, useful macros, instance requirements, etc.

3. Do not have contribution requirements where you have to donate X amount of mats. ITS A GAME, and the last thing anyone wants to do is work. If you want to loose members, this is an easy way to drive them away. Instead, require that siege rewards, and guild runes be donated to guild. They are not allowed to be sold. Gold, once a month, you have a lottery, you have to buy at least one "ticket" but no more than 10, and they cost 10k each. Winner gets half of the pot, guild gets the other half. Mats that are donated should have one level of refinement, the green mats, they give the most bang for the buck.

4. It looks like you have done a few, go with what you have done before. People will have ideas for new ones after they have done one or two.

5. Every run requires a tank and a healer. Make sure you have a tank and a healer before you even start asking for the DPS. Nothing worse than putting out a general invite and getting 6 DPS and now you have to kick someone.

6. The library is a must, clears death debt. Processing factory is a must for siege, 2 makes life much easier. The gathering stations, the field, forge, and lumber yard make gathering mats easy, just park your toon there for the night and you have mats to make things (or donate to the guild that required almost no time invested.)

7. Nothing to add to that.

8. See #2.

Good luck!
