You can do them virtually simultaneously -- once you complete one of the elite quests, it becomes a daily so you can do it for your other class. The only thing you can't do at the same time is the infusor; you can only have on in your inventory at a time.

honestly, i wish there is an easier way to get the 50/50 elites... it is hard to ask someone/create a party just to help getting 50/50 elites in instances like TT or places that require people for a successful run... lol

The 50/50 elite quests were the first hint we got that has the game progressed, grouping would become more and more important to completing any quests, not just instances. We just didn't realize it at the time they were released.

Gathering Double Elite Items

This is my first toon to get my 50/50 elites and I want to try to be efficient while I get the items...Is it possible to gather say, 6/3 Infernal Blackhorns on the first attempt for your main class? I know you need only 3/3 for the quest, but can you gather the extra three while doing it the first time to save time trying to get them again on your secondary class? If so, does this work for all the items for all the quests in the 50/50 elite chain?

For Cactus Needles off regular mobs :
At least pre patch, I noticed how they became unbound : when you get one, it is bound. When you get another one and they stack, it becomes unbound. I saw this happen when a friend and I were killing ridiculous amounts of Cactus mobs. Again, this is unconfirmed for 3.0. Not being 50/50 yet, I sold them. Hopefully I'll be able to just buy another set back when they become useful...

Yes/No.. depends really. I am personally working on these now so I can only give what my experiecnes are. I do gather the parts for doing both quests for both sides at the same time so to speak, but when I do get the 3 blackhorns (since you made reference to this) I put those 3 parts in the bank and then go get the other 3 that I need for the quest. I "believe" that once you have all of the quest pieces they don't drop anymore, then again some of it is random luck and well I don't have the best of luck so it might work just fine as long as you have the quest.

edit: I also found when i needed to get the ice/fire magic (I think that's the right name) I can just use the same mob multiple times to get the part. Assuming of course I have enough of the item to do that.

Also FYI incase you didn't know. Doing the quest a 2nd time is considered a daily so if you don't see the quest being offered it's because your dailys are already done for the day. Same principle if you have the quest done but can't turn it in yet.

hmmm... since it is hard to find/create group to run lower instaces... is it possible to do quest in different order?

and can we meet thynos at level 35 instance in dwarf or just level 50?

Once you complete them the first time you can pick them up and do them in any order you like. The first time through has to be in order though.

Thynos is only in IDK 50 I believe.

If you have all of the items they wont drop anymore but if you put them in your house chest or on the AH the came wont recognize them allowing you to collect them again.

Even after you have your 50/50 elites, you can get the quests as dailies and keep them open. That way you have a chance to get the drops to help out guild mates or your alts.

Oh geeze I hate the level 50 skills quests, worse 31 days I've spent with this game...especially since the reward was so dissatisfying...

Is it possible to pick up just one of your lvl 50 elites, or do you have to pick up both of them? The lvl 50 D/S elite now ruins an otherwise great skill, however I'd still be nice to pick up the lvl 50 S/D elite.

ok i had the same issue as someone earlier in the thread.

ok there i am sitting in front of my computer waiting in apt anticipation staring at my rune extractor. its the LAST item i need for 50 elites.

and as the timer goes off BAM!! i get a message in my chat log saying that the timer has expired and item has disappeared.and thats it. no new item . i took a screen shoot with the text in chat log and my bags FULLY open. then sent it with a support ticket. and no reply

is there something im missing here? and yes i had space in my bags. and i believe i had dailies left but not sure.

before i buy a new one i would like to know what i did wrong.
do i have to go kill stuff when i have the extractor or something?

Mage soul: go to sacilia steppes north of rose camp, destroy the magic jar there, AOE the 10 mobs that spawn after you brake the jar and that´s all you need to do.
