I got a quick question, for crafting and production how do you actually produce something, because i've been stuck on this for about 2 hours and can't seem to figure it out. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Edit: Also my friend wants to play as well but he doesn't see a download link for Mac computers. Does this mean people with Mac Computers can't play the game or there isn't a version currently available for Mac Computers.

There is no Mac version of the game; however, folks have been successful running it under software that lets Windows run on a Mac, like Bootcamp (I think that's the name).

In order to process or craft something, you have to be next to the appropriate crafting station. Then open your skills window to the first tab, and pick what you want to do. Of course, this implies that you've learned how to do the particular crafting skill in the first place. :) Humans can learn the skills in Pioneer Village and Logar, and Elves in the Valley of Preparation.

Section Title

Thanks for the guide, nice gathering of general information that is very helpful.

Admins, the section is entitled "Newcomer's" - Newcomer's what? I think you were shooting for Newcomers, hmm?

Hello, I am new to RoM but i played WOW for 1 1/2 years. I would like to find out what are the best classes for PVP. It would be nice and its something that mmo total newbies don't know to ask. It would probably be helpful to state what classes are good for the different playing styles, like: PVP, DPS, tank and healier.
Thanks in advance.

Hey, the game is downloading now. i cannot wait... I'm about as new as they come! this thread was really helpful! i have never played a game like this before, hope I can catch on quick... which server would you suggest for someone new like me, and which class do you think would be the easiest to start off with, seeing that i have no experience, and after that which class do you think i should combine it with. i will more than likely be playing on my own for the majority of the time, or at least until i get the hang of it and have leveled up enough.

thanks!

New to game questions

Hi! Im new to the game(its actually downloading now) and Im a bit curious. I play WoW and I love it but its a bit expensive. I was wondering about a few things. 1) How and when do you get a permanent mount? Not just doing dailies every day(Im bad with that, I get distracted lol)? 2) What are the best classes to start as in order to learn the game, or what are youre suggestions about classes? and 3) I always see the $10 cards for this game. What do they do, and is it worth it? Thanks in advance

You buy a permanent mount with diamonds, which are the in-game cash equivalent. You buy diamonds with game cards, or PayPal or credit card. And you can find tons of info about these topics and on the classes by reading the various forums here.

You should have the Airship quest by now. Go find it and travel to Varanas. The airship will dock just outside the Class Hall (hit M to look at the map once you're there.)

Since you're an elf, you can talk to one of the Elvish trainers that are off to the side of the airship dock to take one of the Elf-only classes, or you can go into the Class Hall. Remember that Elves cannot be Knights or Priests.

But you'd be better off completing most of the quests on Elven Island before haring off to Varanas. :D

Is there a city or town in ROM where over 50 people gather on a daily basis on the Artemis server?

Just wanted to throw in my two cents on the great guide there. Currently downloading the game, and now am beginning to get impatient after reading it lol. I too am another WoW throwback, having paid for the last three years to play something that now im wondering why i started playing in the first place lol. Anyway, this game looks amazing, and I cant wait to start:D. Thanks again for the awesome guide, as im sure I will be referencing it often in the first few days:D

Thanks and a ?

I have been playing for over a year on and off now. I wish I would have read this first. Excellent guide. I have a question though (a noob question, sorry). Everyone talks about the right gear/stats for your class. Can some one tell me or point me to the right place to look for info on what stats benefit what class and why? From looking around the forums, It seems like depending on your class, a change in stat will effect you differently (i.e. adding to STR of a Warrior increases patk differently that if you did to a Warden). If this is true, please tell me where I can see how stats effect each class (if there is such a place). If I am way off please be kind :-)
