Port Forwarding Guide.

Thank you so much for posting the ports! :D

Quoted from "Icarii;18629"

Hello all,

Some users encounter an error when trying to access the game servers.
The following information should help remedy this error -

Please note that Runes of Magic needs the following ports opened in your
modem/router and firewall configuration:

TCP Ports 80, 21002 and 16401-16500

First off go to this site.

Router List.
http://www.portforward.com/english/route…routerindex.htm

Find your router on that list. (check the label on the back or under your router.)

Once you click your router it will take you to a page with a number of games and other ports. It doesnt matter which you pick. (theres not one for Runes of Magic yet) or at least i couldnt find one XD

Follow the instructions they give you but substitute there port numbers for RoMs numbers.

80, 21002, and 16401-16500.

Be sure to click TCP. Also for single numbers just put 80 to 80.

For any of you who have 2wire go to this site for your default IP.
http://support.2wire.com/ click wireless settings.
The IP that portforward gives you has never worked for me.

ports - multiple pcs and 1 router

Question: if you have multiple pcs connected to the same router , intend on playing ROM on each PC and then fwd needed ports to PC#1, then wouldnt that mean that ROM on PC#2 is out of luck, because all traffic is routed to pc#1?

Make sure your RuneDev.ini file is set to enus.

Take a look at this Server Workaround.

You just have to open the port on the other PC as well. Even without port forwarding using internet on more than one PC is going to slow it down. But having the ports open will help.

IN effect, you are saying that open up the selected ports on windows firewall or whatever firewall program you are using on each pc, but my question still stands about the router, if the traffic hits the router first and you are forwarding it to pc#1, doesnt that mean that PC#2 will be blind to any incoming traffic on the above listed ports?

tks

File is pointing to enus.
I am never having this much trouble with game before. Many hour to down load and patch then more time trying fixing it with no point. Thank you any way but think I will play some thing more user friendly.
