I still have yet to find out what the "buffs" are that the Mage's Lucky Chance skill yields from the Bloody set, if anyone could just reply with the exact name, I can look them up and update the list.

Is it OK with you if I put this information up on Wiki? Since you did all of the work in gathering it I figured you should be the one to ask. :p

Feel free. All the info I derived from ingame so it's open to everyone.

Thanks, I still like to confirm with the author of the post to make sure they are ok with it, since .. well you did do all of the work, and I am just copying your information to hopefully make it survive longer then posts do on these boards.

Is the page, I am updating it now with the information you have posted. IF you need to edit it, the layout should be simple enough for anyone to understand. (LOL including me!)

energy restore = fail

i'm a w/m or m/w... but honestly, casting 4 seconds not moving would mean losing rage while getting it so basically 40 rage left after 4 sec... then you attack losing rage before touching the opponent... lmao

do rogues and scout even bother stopping while doing dps just to get energy or focus? i mean pause 4 seconds or would you rather spam the skill from your secondary? lol

In general nope.
It's only useful for building up a smidge of rage before dashing into a cloud of enemies.
There's been once or twice I used it to finish off a mob that I had CC'd.

Mostly, I'm underwhelmed.
Night attack is a backstab attack, and weaker than our weakest backstab. Adding +10% damage to my offhand increases my dps by 0.1% for the duration of the buff

Phantom stab is meh (Yay, once every 60 seconds I can hit everything for half my normal damage. - oh, and then possibly get smooshed cause I'm right next to them and some tanks aren't up to snuff)

Escape? if you're dotted or anything, won't function correctly.

Seems like most classes got the 'meh' end of the stick.

I am experiencing envy over some of the scouts - a passive damage reduction? gimme!

That original post on this stuff, o many weeks ago, had me thinking, "Ooh, we get to choose 8 from a pool of 36? Kick ass!"
This, where only end game players with the RIGHT set get a skill? Sucks.
There was no label telling me "giant fist was for rogues" - some of my guildees (scouts and rogues alike) thought the sets where the other way around. they got stuck and had to go hunting pieces :P

W/M don't need to buidl up rage before dashing into a crowd if you're doing it right. Go in with lightning touch cast taunt to reduce incoming damage, then use electrical rage to build up your charge and spam TS and LT until your electrical rage is about to fall, hit one time to maintain the 45% bonus. And spam TS and LT casting taunt when you can to reduce damage.

I read this as 750% DPS total.
Not bad at all!

This is just a few points shy of maxed Flame damage and with only 2s cast instead of 3s. Still, Flame has Fire Mastery and Explosion so this is only going to be a Flame replacement on a M/Wd.

the 2s cast actually sets it further from flame's damage due to the fact that cast time(if i remember right) multiplies the damage your staff adds to the spell.
I would say for an M/wd, they'd only use this when earth surge was on CD
I've already quit.

Thank you for the list. I am looking forward to the skills I will be getting :) (K/W). I have a suggestion but idk if it is any good so I will just throw it out there...could you list the places that the armor sets are looted from next to their name or the skill? I am sure alot of people know where they come from, but I have no idea right now and would like to know. It would make the guide even better! :)

The general (all class) skills and one set of the class-specific skills come from the stuff sold by the Codex memento vendor in Dalanis. The rest of the skills come from either Hall of Survivor or Zurhidon Stronghold/Demon Lord sets.

You have to think of it in terms of DPS. Max Flame is 1288 damage over 3 seconds + 3x mDam (not counting Flame Mastery). This is 1200 damage over 2 seconds + 2x mDam (not counting Earth Scepter). Flame's DPS is about 429 + mDam vs 600 + mDam DPS.

thank you Jsalemi for your answers :) I am trying to figure out how these skills work exactly...how many can you have total and are they useable with either class or only the 3 general skills? If only those 3 are general than how many of the 3 class specific can you learn per class?

you can "learn" them all, however you can only "use" the ones that are either general or specific for your class. TO add to that you can only have 2 "equiped" to use at any given time. Atleast at level 58 I can only have 2 in my wheel, the wheel suports 5? I think thats the right number. Maybe when we hit 60 we can use all of the slots?? Maybe its for future levels?? dunno yet.

Actually, they said on the EU forums or website that all 5 slots will be available by the time they finish rolling out Chapter III, so yea, we should see the other 3 activated in the near future.

ok, thank you for the answers. I am also wondering what lvl do your 1st and 2nd classes have to be to get the general and class specific skills? Can you only use the 2 equiped skills or can you change which 2 are equiped some how? (is there a time limit? like only change them once a day for example.) Thanks for answering my questions, I realy appreciat it :)

You can change the equiped skills anytime you want; no limits that I've seen. I don't recall what level you have to be to use them, but I know you have to be over 50; I think some of the general skills are available at level 51.

They said in their press release that everyone would be able to choose 8 out of a pool of 36 skills.

The general skills are level 51, the skills from gear is level 55, I think that also includes the ones from the vender also would have to double check wiki or read the first post in this thread. ;)

Thank you again for all the answers :) All my questions have been answered and all I have to do is get the skills. currently 49K/42W so I still have a ways to go ;) (I am assumeing that both 1st and 2nd classes must be lvl 51 to get general set-skills?)
