Hard to say if 3 hours is unfair until somebody says what a "Vine of Arrows" is. It's obviously some sort of summoned item. I mean it could be a "quiver" that summons 0 damage arrows or something similarly worthless.

and no there not 0dmg arrows there better than the runic arrows

it would be nice if the mage could get a useful item-set skill...

I second that... and what is it with giving Mages Druid like earth skills?

wow, that warden skill is absolutely worthless...
I don't think the "designers" have one creative bone in their body.

LoL to the Druid skill being stolen from WoW's Warlocks, but being a Druid, I'll take it when I can. No questions asked.

Um, what? Undefeatable King with King's Fearlessness is my favorite item-set skill. Excellent PvP skill.

Sorry, was a tad lazy updating the guide. Added new RT skills and more info to the Mage's Lucky Chance. Thanks Dragoniceomega for posting them in the meantime.

I recently found the names for the Lucky Chance skills and posted them. They're not bad imo.

What zones provide Item sets? I've been to Dalanis. Looking for warrior sets.

Aside from the IS skills from crafting or Dalanis, you have to farm the items from the appropriate instances: HoS, ZS/DS, WA, RT.

Clarification on Scout RT skill..

You only get 1 quiver of arrows each time you use the skill. These arrows last 3 hours. That's what the skill is describing. Not that you have access to arrows for 3 hours.

Warlock skill? Can you expand on what you think green seed is?

He/she is probably referring to the "Create Healthstone" skill, that the warlocks in wow learn. They do seem very similar. http://thottbot.com/s47878

The green seeds here have a longer timer on them and they use nature point to create instead of soul shards though :)

Is the OP out of date, or are they really still leaving/adding skills with % mp costs other than the various elites they broke with them back at the start of chapter 3?

95

Tuesday, September 28th 2010, 11:49pm

Most set skills still have % cost attached to them.
Nanae: 60/57 Warden/Scout
Minku: 58/55 Mage/Priest

I've eaten more fruits than was used in that cherry pie you ate.

Edit dates for the entire post simply means that something was changed, doesn't neccessarily mean that costs have been updated had they been changed.

just a short word on mage set skills.....

Stone Scale Blade (Fearless Cloth)
Level: 55
Cost: 100 MP
Cast: 2s Range: 250
- Causes 1200.0 Earth Damage.

this is such a stupid skill i cant believe i got it. on mage side of m/d or any m/? there is no earth dmg mod, so u get a 2 sec cast for gimp damage. mages are already gimped enough, this is like a slap in the ballz :/

Lucky Chance (Bloody)
Level: 55
Cost: 250 MP
Cast: Instant
- Unpredictable magic energy. Whether it is fire or wind isn't yours to decide, you can only let the gods decide.
Fiery Chance
Level: 55
Cost: <none>
Cast: Instant Cooldown: 12s Range: 150
- Inflicts 550.0 Fire Damage to a single target, and a further 800.0 Fire Damage every 2 seconds for the next 8.0 seconds.
Stormy Chance
Level: 55
Cost: <none>
Cast: Instant Cooldown: 12s Range: 150
- Caus 550.0 Wind Damage and slows Movement Speed by 60.0% for 8.0 seconds.
i spent so much time and money getting the pieces for this skill cz no-one runs HoS, not past 4th boss anyway, so getting the gown cost me a few mill for a throwaway pos. this skill sounded like the coolest of all the set skills. i needed another instant cast. well the dot dmg is not increased by any of your skills, it really is a flat 800 damage for 8 secs, LOLOLOLOLOL. really? to add insult to injury, instead of just a flat cast from your hotbar, a stupid alt+1 will pop up, thus making it not instant cast, but an annoyance. save your money.
Recover Magic (Elemental Flame)
Level: 55
Cast: Instant Cooldown: 3m Duration: 60s
- For 60.0s after using this skill, each time you cast a spell, it may restore (5.0%+1000.0) mana.

most useful for those mages who chose to avoid wis at all costs. for those of us who used wis/hp and wis/mAtk stats, this can be passed on. i have 27k mana. the only thing that stresses me out is purging blackstar adds. i paid for my mana, so no nerf bich's, u killed mages enuf

Unharmed (Puppet Staff + Enforcer's Armor)
Level: 58
Cost: 250 MP
Cast: Instant Cooldown: 3m Duration: 30s
- Reduces aggro by 30% for 30 seconds.

useless useless useless useless. i have not met a mage that can gain aggro from equal geared tanks/scouts. i am well geared and the only time i ever get aggro is on bosses that reset the aggro table and im stupid enuf to attack b4 tank regains its attention....Z

Earth Collapse (Flower God)
Level: 60
Cost: 350 MP + 8% HP
Cast: 2s Cooldown: 60s
- Summons 5 nearby Rune Pillars, decreasing the damage dealt to multiple targets in the area by 3.0%. A target touching a pillar will be attacked by falling rocks, causing 1500.0 Earth Damage.

no one on my server has this set. sounds like another aoe-ish type skill but mobs have to touch your pole, hehe. but its earth damage with no earth dmg modifiers....Z .....3% decrease? please ...really again? on a 60k hit thats a 1800 dmg reduction, assuming it works. pffft

now i dont know too much about the other classes set skills other than the priest bubble one that is awesome in WA. so im not gunna say we got the shaft, im just gunna assume bcz we are mages..........we got the shaft. i think my favorite is giving the scouts, who obviously dont do enough damage, an aoe skill.......where did mages go again? ooo yeah, deleted.

so bottom line, if you can read thru my barbs at failstar, is mages can safely save their money and time and effort in gaining any of these quality
set skills

Actually, many say it's a great skill in RT for the snare on bosses.
