[Guide] How to get "Acceptance Brings Opportunity"

Here it is, folks...

A complete Guide on how to get this elusive quest:
Please note that you probably won't be able to collect this quest ever again so make sure you do it at the right time.
i.e. Get it right after talking to Yarandor after completing the Magical Reconstruction quest line in Tergothen Bay. Don't even go near the Ailic Transporter to hand in any quest until you've spoken with Daris.

Many consider this to be a bug, but I prefer to see it as a test to see who actually reads the quests! ;)

Reading what is in post 1 indicates nothing that you have to talk to them BEFORE porting back, or never get the option.

First and foremost, thanks for putting this guide together. It is great and well done.

Secondly, could you please highlight where it states, or event hints, that you will never get the opportunity to talk to Daris if porting back to Dalanis?

Thirdly, I concur that the part about the drunkard Luanda is hilarious.


edit:
Proposed fix: Remove the bs(big stupid) code that deletes the opportunity to do this once porting away from Varanas, since this quest title is on the main titles section for quest.

Expected fix: They add writing that properly informs players of the bs code, much like how players were shafted out of the functionality of placing crafting furniture in the guild castle back in the day.

I'm all for a change similar to the above.

I believe that Daris should not have a quest indicator above her head but should retain the "I hear you are looking for me" option in the dialog choices.

The order is very precise and you may have done something out of sequence.

Can RoM Fix this please.. like come on.. hidden title one thing. but to miss out on 2 title becasue of this is ridiculous.. The damn title is listed under KoR titles and it has to be done in TB stuff..

I've been questing zone by zone and never even knew this becuase I had all the titles in TB and moved on.

Acceptance Brings Opportunity Title

since my thread was closed with no sight giving, other then sending in a support ticket which will do nothing cus all rom support does is say figure it out dont' ask for help from support. Does anyone know if they will EVER fix this. or is there a way to active the quest again.

Why does it need fixed? It's not broken.
It seems easily obtainable if you read the quests properly.
Even easier with Inferiority's guide, posted above.

Hmm maybe I wasn't paying attention when i finished the last quest in TB, every other quest in the (blip) game can be redone if you mess up. maybe the title being listed in KoR titles is messed up. since its done before you even enter KoR. Had the title been listed in the TB list maybe i would have found and looked at this guide before leaving TB instead of when i got to the last title in KoR...

Actually it's amusing to have people say it's not a bug when if you read the part he Boxed in the screenshot at the beginning of this guide it clearly states....."IF and When you return to Varanas." So the fact that if you do something else before going there and it takes the opportunity away that by definition makes it bugged.

By introducing "IF and When" that means according to the quest you have the opportunity to complete it the next time your in varanas.

This is where it actually becomes bugged. The quest shows as complete BEFORE you talk to Daris. Handing in the quest will make you not get the dialog making it unobtainable. If it were that you MUST talk to Daris first to get the quest, then the wording must be changed in the quest and the quest itself must be changed so that is does not show as complete until after talking to Daris.

I have to disagree. The quest says that Daris is looking for you and that you should go and talk to her - so you should go and do it.
It's not a requirement for the quest you currently have.

Still, I stand by my earlier statement that the option to obtain this quest should not disappear and should remain open for picking up later.

Precisely the point. It is mentioned in the quest you have to start with, that also says complete at the stage where it suggests that you go talk to Daris. Therefore you should be able to talk to and get the quest from Daris AFTER handing in said quest, but as it will not let you ..... it IS a requirement for that quest.

No, no, no.

A quest requirement is something you MUST do to complete the quest you are currently working through.
You do not need to talk to Daris to complete the quest you have.

The quest clearly says:
- go and talk with Daris while you are in Varanas
- talk to the Ailic Transporter to go back to Dalanis.

If you talk to the Transporter, you will leave Varanas, so why would you think you can talk with Daris afterwards, when you're not in Varanas?

Also, see my previous comment on the change I think that needs made:
