Equiping Badges on Titles

See Twace Kaht outside varanas that has a yellow quest to start. Character must be a minimum of level 20.

Then go talk to Polis Leighton in varanas class hall. He gave a blue quest. Talk to him again and select the recieve training,

and accept all four colored lines. You must do this each day to activate the title daily quest boards. A red message will flash for which red board is active for you. World search can aid in showing the locations.

Open the title interface and there is a new section on the right side. Titles on the main section with a badge will have bonuses. Cursor over the badge to see the bonuses. These are different than the title you normally have equiped and its bonus, ie Storytelling Troupe Helper(the one in the screen shot) or Escape Artist. Those are equiped using the old assume title button.

Clicking on the badge with equip it. Each time of reactivating, similply click a badge and your previous setup will automatically fill in. Highlight the title in the right screen and click remove to unequip. You can equip a title from each of the four sections: Quest, Challenge, System, and Event. On the right screen in the top middle is the max level of the type of badges you can equip. On the right side of the left screen, there is a drop down that will sort badges per their ranking of 1-7.

Accept the quest from the shield shaped boards on the wall behind him. http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthr…ll=1#post603829 for board locations.(thanks yomanrom). The blue and red board quest will be determined by your primary class level when talking to Polis.

The different lines have quest level requirements. They are based on your character level. The board names will change based on character level too. Quest are randomly selected from a master list, so you wont always get the same one to do each day(s). These are daily, but do not count against your 10 daily quest. I recommend accepting the yellow board quest before running minigames as some are to do stuff inside the minigames.

Doing the daily, you earn Experience Gem and Reputation Badges, in addition to exp/tp/gold. Polis is where those dailys are turned in.

Use the Exp gem to increase your badge level you can equip, and rep badges to activate the bonuses. Select the item to use by cursoring over the blank square it the bottom left of the right screen, and then choosing which one. The use button will add it to the top bar. This is similar to the process for feeding a cavy pet.

On the right screen at the top the reputation bar is on the left, and the experience bar is on the right. Each exp gem gives 20 points and each rep badge gives 10%. Rep drops at a rate of .015% per a minute. Exp does not drop. Talk to Polis about upgrading to see what the requirements are to equip higher ranked badge titles. ( http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthr…ll=1#post605963 )thx ro

thx to blue, nue, and all others for help

edit:
this is just a quick(and incomplete) blurb to get you headed in the right direction. So if anyone has any improvements to add, please post and thanks much.

Also, for siege heavy players check out the siege titles badges for additional damage reduction from other players. Crafters titles help with crafting/gathering bonuses.

http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthr…ll=1#post603736 for caster title recommendation.(thanks heoboy123)

no they r not. the event titles and sw titles cant be upgraded.
when it says "System titles" it means only the crafting ones
when it says "Festival event titles" it restricts to the ones of malatina etc

from what I noticed, you still get the title bonuses even if you don't have the specific title equipted to your character, but it has to be in one of the 4 slots...

This is so misleading. Basically you get free stats from 4 titles (1 from each category). It doesnt matter what title you are currently using, as long as you have high enough level to equip those titles that you want for stats. Every one starts with level 2, and the highest level is 4 (even tho it says 7). Every day you can do 4 quests, 1 gathering, 1 minis, 1 digging stuff, and 1 boss kill. Upon finishing them, you will complete the water quest. Every quest give you 10 rep and 20 xp orb. In total, you can get 100 xp day (xp required to get from 2 to 3 is 1500) and 50 rep. Now rep decays over time, but if you get 100 rep, you can "use" a title. Meaning you can boost that tittle and double the attributes for 1 hour.

For example, I'm using the RT bronze title (3% fire magic and 169 int) in challenge spot. Now if I have 100 rep, I can "use" that and recieve 6% fire magic 338 int instead.

Note: you can only equip title that you already acquired and same as your title level. Also easy mode works for the boss killing quest (I killed Garmel on easy).

The best combo for caster so far is:
Quest - TB title (1350 hp 540 matk) lv 4
Challenge - RT bronze (3% fire 169 int) lv 3
System - Hardworking genius (253 sta) lv 4 but the 540 matk also nice
Event - depends if you want xp/tp/drop rate/ or 152 all stats.

Edit: Not sure why I start at lv 2 but another toon of mine starts at lv 1.

Does anyone know where the Limo Desert Red Bulletin Board is located? I haven't been able to find it.....

Its probably on the wall of some buildings in Limo town. The one in MT is on the left wall of the mayor's house.

You should be able to find it in World Search. I haven't found that one yet as I've been referred to other Red Boards so far.

that is a good question. as helboy pointed out, most players seem to default to level 2, while others are level 1. Perhaps it is based on number of titles earned, as there is something about number of titles needed to increase level, as well as exp. This shows when talking to polis and the option to increase level. If anyone has this part figured out, please share.

edit:
Talk to Polis about the requirement to upgrade the badge level you can equip. There is the title experience as well as a number of titles of certain badge type you must have requirement.

when i first got my title menu, and was checking it, out, i got a message saying i have 16 level 2 titles, and 15 are required to start at lvl 2, so i started at level 2...i can imagine if you didn't have 15 lvl 2 titles when you did the quest, it would default to level one, and i'm assuming if you had a certain number of level 3, 4, or higher titles, it would default to the highest level you meet the requirements...

Okay I figured it out - you have to look at the roman numerals to see level. It does not say when you scroll over the rep or exp buttons, only that you are level.

Also the part about scrolling over the icon on the right upper part of the title will show the added stats and left clicking will add to the title bar should be explained more in detail. I was scrolling over the title left clicking - right clicking - and nothing. Today someone explained you need to scroll over the icon to see the options. Once I did that it all made more sense and I figured rest out.

I did start at level 2. Also you should remind everyone to not use the rep stones until they are rdy for the one hour boost since it does decay over time. I now save mine until I have enough to get to 100%. I do use the exp stones as soon as I get one.

Is there only the guy in Varans class hall that you can visit? I seem to be gettting only Merdhin for the red board quests. I want to do them all eventually.

Thanks

Vesuvious

You could always sort the title by level, that way you can see all the titles you can equip. Remember to check level 1 as well if you are currently 2. You can do 4 quests (red, yellow, blue, green) a day and upon finishing them you also finish the water quest. If you cannot do red (2nd boss bedim is hard to solo if you get the Garmel quest), abandon both it and the daily and wait til tomorrow. Hopefully you'll get a better Red quest (Sandos is pretty easy). Also take title quests BEFORE doing minis since 1 quest requires you to complete a certain task in mini games.

My friend has over 400 titles and he starts at level 2, so I think that is the highest level you can start it. 15 days to the next and probably a month to the last level (4).

Once you start, is there a way to deactivate/pause the titles as to not drain reputation if you don't want to use them?

Also, does it decrease during offline time?
