I highly doubt a warden with their CD skills are gonna compair to a scout with essense and BA on. Scouts can destroy things before they even get close as compaired to a warden that has to try to knock it down before they fall.
Chain armor doesnt yield much survivability without a knight secondary, just ask warriors. Wardens have inferior attribute ratios thanks to having pets. Their pets are highly unreliable thanks to pathing issues, slow speed and general weakness. They easily are outdps'd by most classes other than knight druid or priest which were never meant to be DPS to begin with. I highly doubt you understand the class well enough to write a guide, you dont even realize that spamming GA and PotWS will drain out your mana so its important to incorperate the rogue spammable to enlongate your mana pool, unless you wanna drink mana pots though you wont have time to while you're constantly pounding HP pots thanks to the classes fraility.

1. No other class can match or surpass Scout/anything dps with BA and essence going unless the scout doesn't have a bow equipped. I dare you to find one.
2. This is not a bashing thread.
3. It's pretty much in the job title to be chugging mana potions.

Xeph, your guide is great. I just got my Charged Chop to 60, I'm hitting normal mobs in Limo for 20k. The DoT damage would be fine, but you know why it isn't.

I would like to know why the 1 DoT does magic damage and other is effected by mobs pdef.

Also have you seen a scout with instruments, AG, BA, and essence going. A scout with about my gear goes way up to 100k dps while i will be at about 40-50k dps. Scouts just have too many stack able buffs that last very long, and attack speed or damage buffs work much better on scouts then most all of the other classes.

I haven't seen that, although that sounds ridiculous. I can see why they are able to solo things they shouldn't be able to. I tiered my axe to t7 and started hitting 35k critical hits on Charged Chop on normal Limo mobs. The 2h weapon is giving me a lot more power with the walker buff than the dual wielding with the nature crystal buff.

Yeah 2-H weapon will do much more damage
1-H will do less damage, but you get extra gear to mod and more white damage.

White damage doesn't make much of a difference when there's a scout there. In instances, my skill rotation is mostly Achilles' Heel -> Charged Chop -> PoWS -> Gravel Attack then in reverse order until boss is <30% in which case it's PoWS spamming. Achilles' Heel and Gravel Attack, when it doesn't hit the DoT, will lighten your mana consumption.

Just wondering

A warden/rogue needs alot of dex, and crit right? Sooooo..... what if you use leather armor endgame instead of chain? It would increase your survivability because of the super dodge you would have. And it would greatly increase the damage your Oak Walker would do, as well as still giving you a fair amount of pa. Just wondering if this would work? (Im a mage a heart, and honestly know little about non-caster classes) I made a Warden/rogue (25/20) because it seemed fun, and could be an interesting combo.

Well, this has been quite useful.

And from what I read, I have the same question as should I use leather endgame?

Great guide! Just my own option that dual-wield and a spirit of the oak goes well together. With "punch" maxed out (the pet's main attack skill) it grabs the arggo easy. But that's just me, and I couldn't help but say it. Again, great guide.

Gravel Attack- I can not say i use this often it does about 340% of your main hand dps and adds a DoT on the target, but this DoT is magic damage.

Which is scale very bad, and the dot chance is sooo low, it almost not matter.

If this is the way a Warden is supposed to be geared, then why is Tiger SO much more powerful than 95+% of the others out there?

And can Hold his own against most of the top geared scouts?

and Tank RT?

be invited before ANY other Wardens and MOST Warriors to RT/KT runs?

Well, thank you for that very extensive answer to all 4 questions, just making 1 Rune fixes it all.

Well i have yet to see tiger tank RT, though i can believe he can tank a few of the bosses on normal.

I have seen tigers damage vs top geared scouts, and i have yet to see him do 400k dps.

Tiger spends a lot of money on the game, so he can afford to t6 his gear and tomb/temple stat it with VII+ runes.

And he is invited so often, because he is one of the few people that know how to play their class and maximize their dps.

also you forgot to write "/end sarcasm"

I'm still an overall noob to this game, and I picked warden/rogue as my class (yes, I know it's considered a bad class, but that doesn't stop me from liking it). I was wondering what skills should I focus on capping while leveling for Warden?

Lol

They never did answer my question of, "What if a warden/rogue used leather armor." lol. I really want to try it, but im to cheap to simply waste cash on stating/gearing a set of armor that wont be usable.

I'd like to know this as well. There seems to be a lot more disagreement/contradiction of info for leveling this class than other classes, I'm a bit confused. Granted...this class is a bit more complex than others. :)

Aye is it better as a Wd/R to dual wield or two hand?

37

Sunday, September 25th 2011, 9:19am

until white crits pop the extra sepal stab w/ oak walker, it's always better to go 2-h w/ wardens.

I was wondering if anyone has tried wd/r with endgame gear recently. I know Achilles strike and gravel attack does a good %damage, so couldn't you weave those and ss with cc? One of the elites buffs cc damage anyway. yes wd/w >wd/r you would lose feral leader, but other than that how does it compare,
Krayden
Co-leader of Serenity
Server Mithras
Krayden - K/W/S
Godussop - S/Wd/R/M
Zathal- D/W/S/Wd

I do a lot of my forum stuff from my phone, so forgive any typos please :3
