When Thynos fears you, it is not like other fear effects. In that one can "direct" their toon while feared.

Think of it like hitting auto-move on the keyboard. You'll be moving forward the whole time but can make tight circles to avoid hitting the ground or fire elementals by using the turn keys.

The fight is a DPS race. So the longer it goes on, the lower the chance of success. Sometimes its bugged.

The Mineral Vein is worth it though. :D

The insane gear-modding feature has that one-percent spending oodles of cash regardless of whether they can do the content without it. Why? Because RoM created an awesome system that lets players become as super-powered as they see fit. There are already groups of players that can down Manticos in as fast as five seconds. That's far above what's needed to be able to experience that level of content.

Just wanted to add regarding the Chef's oven, unless this happens only when no one is frozen. No one in our party got frozen so the Stove Explosions never dished out 2k dmg to me/Rogue, until after the Chef was dead, then it was dishing out that much dmg but I was out of Hide then (didn't think to try Hide again then since everything was dead, oops lol). When I was in Hide & ran up to the Oven to get burned just to see what it was like before the Chef was pulled, instead of the 2k dmg the Stove Explosion gives, I was only getting about 60 dmg O_o.

Regarding the Icebound Guardian... ours was seriously bugged or maybe we killed him too fast once he was aggroed, not sure what. There was never any aoes or any buff circles or anything. We attacked him & he'd keep regenerating instanting back to full 100% 200k hp whatever after after about 5 seconds but totally refused to attack us. Upped the attack speed and everything, it wasn't until we were able to get him to about 20% hp remaining like 5 mins later, did he FINALLY get aggro & want us dead, all our remaining attacks stacked & he tried to attack us but all his stuff was interrupted I think, he died rly fast a few seconds later... so not sure if the Icebound Guardian's way to kill it has changed or our was just bugged or what.

not just necro, but throwing out bogus info. Unless this instance was stealth nerfed, their description of these fights is way off.

well like hardly anything IDK on this forum worth lookin at has been posted about as of this yr or last yr lol & ones that are more detailed about IDK like this thread for example, was hardly ANYthing like the last 3 runs I had this past week O_o

if there had been a thread this yr I would've posted in that one instead ... duh coz pretty sure it's changed since this thread started.

Not retarded, didn't go into the other DFR instance Clops thinking it was IDK ::rolls eyes:: lol

then start a new thread, no reason to necro old ones, especially since you really haven't managed to add anything to the conversation.

FYI the only change to the instance since it was introduced was a mild decrease in mob density, yup that's it, nothing new.

 guess I'll have to spoon feed it like to a 1 yr old:

The Cook/Chef whatever for some retarded reason does not Freeze anymore & the Icebound Guardian does not have some weird aoe that only circles can save you from. I watched the youtube & xfire videos just to see wtf the difference was, at first seemed like just graphical errors but the combat log proved otherwise. Either that or the Cook/Chef & Guardian seriously are slower on executing their attacks compared to what's shown on the videos the game just doesn't show correctly graphically & combatlog-wise what's really happening on our screens.

...starting new threads about something that's already been posted about makes it seem like parrots are all over these boards sometimes. results from searching for threads on this forum is lame coz the results show threads that are literally copies of each other coz ppl couldn't search by themselves before posting another one.

if this is true, then this thread is out of date, and should be laid to rest. Feel free to write your own guide in a new post then. Most forums lock threads after 30 days of inactivity - just because FA doesn't, doesn't mean necroing is somehow welcomed.

The cook freezes just fine still in both 35 and 50 parts, the guardian I think they did actually nerf the aoe dmg, took it to the face and didn't die and only had about 30k hp at the time, but he is much less frequent with its usage. Other than that, its the same old IDK that this guide describes. And I see no reason not to necro it, half the reason new players don't attempt these early instances is the massive lack of readily available (competent) info and this guide is pretty tightly put together.

I really enjoy soloing the cook as a warden. It cracks me up that i am frozen and getting very little damage, but briar repel is whumping his butt.

nice! my 3rd is warden so gonna try that sometime, I'm always wary about using my warden to solo things cause he's a bit undergeared, yet everytime it never disappoints lol. On a side note, yeah I was messing around IDK today getting some new guildies attuned and ran through it, and saw a flood of people coming in. Stopped a few to ask what's the big influx about and they said they saw this thread on the forums and had never been so they wanted to try it out (all 60+). I was proud of myself :D lol Necro powah!

idk is not so bad. most annoying parts are the cooks 3 min freeze, the cavys knocking your buffs off, and idk50 thynos if you dont know what you are doing.

The attunement is from marls outpost and the "refugees" just north of there. Even at lvl 35-40 characters, the attunement quest are not really difficult.

the weirdness about the rune guardian: if he's aggro'd by a ranged person, and that ranged person retains aggro, he will be bugged. give a melee threat, someone the guardian can punch at first, and he'll work out just fine.

Useful information to know, much appreciated. I do not know, you can simply skip those mobs. This may be a more fundamental will not be any attempt.
