Akasha89, I think you might have to get the armour that the boss drops on the ground.

Complete.

Passage Way to Boss #1 Sardo:

Room #1: Four Maids (One of them is a patrol.)
Corridor after Room #1: Butler + Two Assistants + Two Maids + One Trap

Quoted

Boss #1 - Horatio Tia - 9 Mementos

(Hint: The door for this boss fight is extremely frustrating to use. The best way to avoid getting locked out would be to stick to the right side of the door and turn your character 90 degrees and move to the left until you are JUST past the door.)

The strategy for this boss fight isn't that complicated, you do have to die a couple times to figure it out.

A few things you need to know before you actually start the fight.

There are three catapults.
There are three lines.
You cannot attack the boss directly.
Two mobs spawn every ~15 seconds that need to be killed (to avoid your healers & DPS from dying.)
Barrels roll down each line starting from under the boss and roll down towards the catapults.
If a barrel hits you, you get knocked down for a couple seconds.
Every couple seconds the boss will target someone and throw a fireball at them. (~10 seconds.)
Every ~20 seconds the boss will do a massive AoE that hurts everyone for ~20% of their HP.

Now to start with the Strat:

The best combination for this fight would have to be one strong Scout or Rogue DPS (mainly because they can do a lot of damage to mobs/barrels) will concentrate on killing the mobs. The rest of the DPS can use the catapults to kill the boss.

Once anyone enters the room they will pull the boss. (5 seconds into pulling he will do the massive 20% HP AoE.

What the DPS need to do (depending on your party composition): Go inside the catapults and aim the catapults in the middle & just behind the ledge press 1 to shoot the boss and press 2 to shoot the boss with a super fireball (requires Gunpowder*).
What the Tank needs to do: Concentrates on keeping the mobs off the DPS & Healers.
What the Healer needs to do: Heals the tank & DPS (who is killing the mobs), the rest of the DPS in the catapults should be either healing themselves or using phirius potions.

In order to DPS the boss down you need to shoot him with the #2 spell inside the catapult and in order to do so. The DPS needs to kill Barrels that are rolling down the lines, once it is dead. A small bomb will be on the ground (like the small bomb in Malatinas), you can click on it. It will give you a Gunpowder buff for 20 seconds.

Once you get the gunpowder, you shoot the boss. He will lose 3% HP every hit (over a duration of 5 seconds.)

The best way to see if the Boss is targeting you is to make him a Focus on your bar, so you can see if he is going to shoot you with a Fireball.

If your party is not ready to solo-heal or solo-DPS the mobs then you can use the following composition:
3 DPS, 2 Healer, 1 Tank.

2 DPS on the Mobs, 2 Healers & 1 Tank, 1 in Catapult.

Boss fight will take 6 - 8 minutes.

Quoted

Passage Way to Boss #2:

Corridor after Boss #1: Five Maids (3 left, 2 right) + Buter on Patrol in centre.
Room #2: Six Maids (One is a Patrol.), One Butler (Patrol) and Three Dwarfs & a Butler Patrol that goes from the beginning of Boss #2 -> Room #2.

Room #2 contains the Empty water bottles that are used to get past the passage way after boss #2.

Quoted

Boss #2 - Jacklin Sardo - 10 Mementos

This boss has ~12 million health.

Some information that would help you for the boss fight.

Boss will cast a spell called Merging Rune every 25 seconds.
Once the boss fight starts, three traps will spawn (Melting, Freezing, Exhaustion).
Once Merging Rune is cast, three people in the party will get three different buffs.

Freezing Rune = Attack Speed & Casting Speed is reduced by a ??%
Melting Rune = Damage received is increased by 25%
Exhaustion Rune = Received Heals are Reduced by a ??%

In order to remove those debuffs, you need to kill it's corresponding trap and stand next to the person who has that debuff. *** THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, STAND NEXT TO THEM ***

Freezing Rune will be removed by killing the Melting Trap.
Melting Rune will be removed by killing the Exhaustion Trap.
Exhaustion Rune will be by removed by killing the Freezing Trap.

If you somehow manage to get those debuffs and refuse to do the start, the entire party will get hit for ~130k - 150k damage.

Quoted

Passage to Boss #3

In order to progress past Boss #2, you are going to need to go back to Room #2 (as stated previously) to get 36 empty bottles (6 per player) and fill them up using the buckets of water, there are 3 in Room #2 and one in the corridor before it.

Once you fill those water bottles, you will see when you right click them that you can target them and throw them.

Once you go to the passage way past Boss #3 (Lightning Room is what I call it.).

You drop 6 bottles of water on each Rune Warning Device. It's best to do it slowly and sync your party to walk past each line when the lightning is not up. If you have 11 of the debuffs you get from dying to the Lightning, you will be immune to the lightning. Each line you past, you kill a rune warning device.

It takes 3 - 4 minutes to get past once you know what you are doing.

Now you get ready to clear your way to the next path of boss #3.

Room #3 contains Five Undead Warriors (they do a massive AoE called Undead Shackle that is cast for a duration of ~5 - 7 seconds). Stun them and kill them, otherwise your melee will have to wait at ranged. It does about 15% per tick. There is also one trap in this room (or just before it, right after the lightning room).

The corridor after Room #3 has two undead warriors and an Undead Guard (3.6m HP). The way we do it in my guild is that we do Right, Left, Middle. (Kill the Undead Warriors first then switch to the Undead Guard.)

You can walk to the second tile in this boss room.

Quoted

Boss 3 - Lanaik - 10 Mementos

This boss has a little more then 7m HP.

This fight is best done as a burn mainly because if you are an end-game party. You should easily be able to do 7m damage amongst your 4DPS/1Healer/1Tank. This boss fight is very frustrating.

He casts the following spells:
Kalon's Wrath - Aggro Reset
Heavy Pound - AoE Damage
Strike of Fury - 10 second fear (Random)

Every ~10 seconds, he will call someone's name.

When he calls the 3rd person. Everyone else should be ready to run to the pillars.

If your name hasn't been called out, you need to run behind the pillar. He will charge (or run very fast) towards you and if the pillar isn't there. He will hit you very very hard.

If you do not pay attention during the boss fight. You can easily die. The only slow that works on this boss is the Mage's set skill.

Everything else will not work.

If you want to help your tank. Make sure you Wrist Attack or Speed slow whenever and however you can.

Quoted

Passage to Boss #4

Getting to Boss #4 takes a little time, expect to have one or two wipes if this is your first time.

There are going to be Two mini-bosses with roughly 6m HP.

They need to be burned. The mini-boss will cast a spell that stuns the entire party for 5 seconds after ~15 - 20 seconds and does a spell that does 20% of your HP, 5 times (Falling Flames) and then will try to heal himself once he hits 40% HP (Dark Healing).

Dark Healing can be interrupted by throat attack (or any other spell like it), I think he can also be silenced.

After you kill the first mini-boss, you will encounter mobs which are similar to the Dwarfs (Called Secret Room Protector) before Boss #2, they do an AoE that has a shorter cast time compared to the Dwarf one. There will be 3 walking up and down the ramp.

Once those three are dead, you will see the exact same Mini-boss. Kill him using the same strat, burn until stunned bubble or heal entire party then interrupt dark healing then continue to burn.

Now it comes to Room #3 (Most annoying part of the instance.)

This room has a mob called Secret Room Manager, they will cast a spell similar to the Death Count in Last Boss ZS. (sticks for ~5 seconds) and will do an AoE hit for 80% of your HP. Rogue Scout substitution can absorb it.

If you have it, call it out to your Priest and run away from the group. Kill these mobs first.

There are 4 of them in the room. There is a patrol that goes from Boss #4 entrance to the beginning of Room #3. Kill the Room first then Kill the patrol. There is an alarm.

The patrol consists of those mobs similar to the Dwarfs (x4) and 1 Manager.

Once you clear Room #3, there is a passage way with 3 house maids. Once you kill them you will proceed to Boss #4.

Quoted

Boss #4 - Test Subject No. 374 - 11 Mementos

This boss roughly ~10m HP
In order to start this boss fight, you need to kill the mobs (or distract them) that was channelling the four crystals around the locked down boss. This fight is SIMILAR to the one for Lair of Demon Dragon (Gestro).

The best way to do it (the mobs don't hit hard btw) is to keep your Priest outside the Boss room and to get 4 people to attack the mobs on the crystals and stand there until the shield breaks. Once the boss gets unlocked, he will kill those mobs instantly. Everyone will then swap and run to the door and get res'd by the Priest.

The door for this boss fight is very sensitive, so do as suggested for first Boss, stick to the right hand side and move a little forward past the door.

The strategy for this boss fight is that the boss will slowly buff himself up using a spell called Body Strengthen that will either increase his Physical Defence, Magical Defence or Physical Attack.

The most important part of this boss fight is the Yellow Crystal (Each tower you see will have a crystal inside it)

Each Imprisonment Crystal has it's own coloured Crystal just behind the white sparkling light.

Yellow: 8k Blood DoT every (second?) for 10 seconds. - This protects you from Annihilation Attack. IF YOU MISS THIS, YOU DIE.
Blue: Pattack Debuff (Greatly reduces Pattack of the player and Removes Any Pattack Buffs on the boss.)
Red: Aggro Debuff (You get Aggro from the boss but can easily be regained by the tank, This one removes any Pdef buffs on the boss.)
Green: Mattack Debuff (Greatly reduces Mattack of the player and Removes Any Mattack Buffs on the boss.)

When these specific words are said during the boss fight, it means he will cast the following spells:
Gauteikriistain'na Cashtei - Annihilation Attack
Vaistain' Vaistain' Vaistain' - Annihilation Beam

Just a reminder, the yellow crystal must be clicked on a second after he is in the air. The boss will get a debuff that lasts for 3 seconds that will decrease the damage that Annihilation Attack does. Be careful that you do not cast it too soon. You will just die.

You do not need to do the full strategy except to click on the Yellow crystal when needed.

Annihilation Beam is ... for those people who know how to run. As soon as he casts, it scatter from the boss and ninja dodge it or die.

Quoted

Passage to Boss #5

There are two Secret Room Protectors just after Boss #4's platform, they are patrolling from the end of the path back to the beginning of the Boss #4 Platform.

There are three Secret Room Manager's doing something on the wall and you just have to kill them.

After you get past this path-way, you will see a mini-boss. They are exactly the same as the ones after Boss #4.

Once he is dead, you will encounter Room #4, standing outside the room are two Secret Room Protectors.

There is a patrol in the room moving around a long with a couple Maids and a Secret Room Manager. Once you clear the room, you will encounter your last mini-boss.

Make sure you are not inside the corridor when you kill him, otherwise your party will wipe due to getting hit by the boulders.

Quoted

Rune Boulder Corridor

This corridor is the most frustrating part of the instance, mainly because it takes timing and luck to get the mobs down.

Once you killed the Mini-boss, you will have noticed that there is now boulders dropping down the corridor and roll down to the Mechanical Door.

If you are a safer and easier route to kill them, it is best to kill the Repair Skeletons with bleeds (shouldn't take longer then 60 seconds per skeleton with 3 bleed-classes). Then kill the Door. (It is best to let only one person take down the door to 50% if you choose this method to avoid wiping the entire party.)

Everyone else should be outside the door inside Room #4. The person dps'ing the door should run back and try to swap and die as close to Room #4 as possible.

In order to get to Boss #5. You need to kill all four mobs at the exact same time.

The best way to do this, is to make sure your tank and healers go inside the corridor first. The tank will aggro the archers and tank them and the healers will heal the tank and gain aggro of the Mages.

The mages do little damage if you have a lot of Mdef and the archers do a little damage if you have a lot of Pdef.

Once the tank & healer have enough aggro.

Two melee DPS'ers go on the Left hand-side and burn the archers down to as low as 3% (preferably 5%) and any ranged DPS should be burning down the mages down to 3% - 5%.

Once all four mobs are dead (AT THE EXACT SAME TIME.) the door for Boss #5 will open and the mobs will just respawn and once they respawn you can kill them and they will not respawn again.

Quoted

Boss #5 - Skeleton General - 13 Mementos

~12.5m HP

This boss fight is a little frustrating. There are several methods to kill him and whatever suits your party composition to get him down is best.

The easiest and most effective way to kill him will be posted here. You can view the rest by checking out other posts by other players.

The boss has two phases, a tanking phase and a DPS phase.

Important things you need to about this boss fight:-

1) He will cast a spell called Abyssal Blow that does roughly ~55k damage (to everyone.)
2) The boss has two phases, a DPS & a tanking phase where he will either drop his sword or his armour. (Tank picks up armour and DPS pick up the sword)
3) I am not 100% sure how he casts Wrathful Release but I know that it's sometimes random and more common during the tanking phase. Wrathful Release is a death kill AoE that does 270k HP (Magical damage can be immuned through TESTED.)
4) If you die during this boss fight a skeleton will spawn on your corpse and you will wipe the party. Make it easier for yourself, use phoenix redemptions and as many phirius potions as you can.
5) He will choose a random person and deal damage to him (~50k) every ~10 - 15 seconds.
6) He will also do a spell that will kill people who are too close together (~50k damage as well) and you need to stay far away from each other.

The way I personally do this boss fight is by doing the following:

1) You should not pop any of your cooldowns as in the beginning of the boss fight, it will be a tanking phase, where he will sword will appear on the ground and be available for pick-up.
2) DPS him as much as you can for the first 15 - 20 seconds.
3) Get ready to pop all your cooldowns and buffs to start doing as much damage as you can during the DPS-phase.
4) He will drop his armour and that is queue to run in and do as much damage as possible, if you see him casting Wrathful release, you need to be trigger happy and push your magic immune candy. (Best way notice it is by casting Tongue Poison - R/S Elite).
5) Rinse and Repeat step number 1, when he drops his sword again, you need to pick it up and keep going.
6) There are alternative methods to kill him and the most important part about this boss fight is to ensure that you have as much ranged DPS and possible. The further you are from the boss, the easier to do this boss.

To do the full strat would require you to have two priests, 3 ranged DPS and the tank.

This boss is frustrating to fight and best done with ranged DPS, if you have melee DPS in the party, expect them to just watch.

Extra Information on Mob Pulls:
Using Crowd Control spells such as Lasso & Numbing Dagger help out a lot in most of these pulls. Just because it's faster to burn things, doesn't mean someone isn't going to die. Take the time and effort into ensuring your Priests do not have die as they are the ones who always die first in most of these pulls.

The druid's spell called Spirit Guidance helps pulls very well, as well as a Warden's banish. They allow you to CC a mob and slowly get them killed before you even have the chance to pull anything. Be careful as of Patch 4.0.3 you can no longer select the Alarms (Traps) that appear randomly on the ground, you have to remove your target by press esc and then press an attack skill and then move your mouse over the trap and click on it.

If you have any more information that be used, please let me know so I can update any sections of the strategy.

About Rune Boulder Corridor first part:

IIRC you can just constantly hit the Repair Skeleton which prevents it from healing the door (hitting him will interrupt the cast he does continously which again heals the door) - then just take the door out and kill the mob normally, no dot-only needed.

I see, I will make sure I edit that part.

Didn't know you could attack the door.

I'll have to be sure to come back and edit the OP for recent updates. I would do it now but I'm sure to be busy tonight with guests and I have notes to work on for class.

Look for the update soon though, hopefully by this time next week.

As for the "The person dps'ing the door should run back and try to swap and die as close to Room #4 as possible." part in the rune corridor - whats the purpose? avoid of getting killed in primary equipment by the 4 mobs in the next room? just wondering, because we never make anyone swap at this place and usually noone dies at all except when we fail the boss itself.

for the last part: yes you can avoid the mobs after you got the final door open, but you can just as easily kill them. they won't need to be killed at the same time again after the door is open and the boulders are gone (if you fail with the first kill, the door won't be open and new boulders keep respawning up at the top, the mobs respawn, and goto start (killng all at once)). this does make several tries on the skeleton general easier and saves the invis potion because the whole corridor will be empty then ;-)

As a personal request, could I get the personal requirements for tank/dps/healer as far as HP/def/heals (buffed)?

I think my guild is within reaching distance, just not able to grab it yet.

Tank:

I started around 114k HP unbuffed in ChapterIV which was enough. It probably is still enough to complete both instances, but since MMOs live of upgrading gear.... *g*

I cant give you exact minimum requirements, but a good test case:
Try Temple of Raksha Diamond Mode fullbuffed - if you can survive a boss fight there without immunities that lasts a bit longer (e.g. done without ultis on DPS) you should easily have enough lp and pdef. Same goes for the rest of the group - DPS that easily burn down these bosses should be strong enough, healers that can keep you alive in that situation heal enough ;-)

You will not encounter heavier pure gearchecks in either Grafu hardmode or Sardo castle - just brainchecks (eg grafu b1: klick the right box or eat 100M damage - no gear in the world will help you survive that hit) oder crowd-control checks (larger groups of nasty trash that even CCs you) ;)

Sardo Boss 3 Lanaik hits about as hard as a usual RT Diamond Boss, everything else is way easier - just really nasty trash with some onehit skills or x times y% damage (summing up to >100%) events on bosses.

A tank with ~250k pdef can tank all the bosses.

Healers might have trouble solo-healing without practise.

DPS, I would say at least ~50k - 60k PA (fully buffed).

Lanaik behavior change

Does anyone notice a change in lanaik's behavior? skills etc. We were running him tonight and he's acting a little strange, really strange in fact. He's not resetting to kalon's wrath after killing pet/toon and he stays in enraged mode until next kalon's. This is 1-shotting the tank!

He called the name of another Rogue in the party and shortly after, called my name out and he reset his enraged buff. o.O

You sure you guys are doing the Strat?

Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but for 1st boss spam groups just trying to farm stats, the trash is the hardest part for some groups. Lately I've been in groups that use the druid friend skill to help with the first group of 3 (buttler and the 2 guys beside him). The maids are easy of course, as already mentioned, and then add the druid in the mix for those 3, and you are to the boss with ease. It really is a piece of cake, and you don't need to be as geared as some think, to start farming your Sardo stats with a well organized group, and get off the mento spam and fail codex train :D
