Tomb of the Seven Heroes Strategies (Guide)

As Wolfowl77 first started this sort of community involvement guide that worked really well for Grafu & Sardo. It would be nice to have one for the new instance.

I already see a couple people asking and talking about the first instance.

So far from what I have seen from using hide around in Easy/Normal/Hard.

The pulls in the first two rooms are very nasty. Especially if it is on Hard.

Going to require a lot of DPS/Disables (Warriors and Mage stuns would be very helpful).

What I have noticed in the entrance of the instance in Hard Mode if you try to pass through a trap is triggered and a status like mob appears and charges towards the portal.

First boss rotates around the torch that you find on the way to the First Boss, a long with the Flint, the bucket of Oil and the Candles.

A torch has to be made but still a lot more testing is required before getting it done.

If you find any more information from what the mobs cast to what the bosses cast to how strats go. Please post them, as the weeks pass through. I will be posting what I get when I run with my guild and what information I get from other guilds.

I will be updating the OP for the full strat like we did in the other Grafu & Sardo threads.

This thread is a community effort. Once the entire Strategy is complete, credits, videos and everything else will be added.

Quoted from "quentinludwigs;487084"

Room 1: 2 small mechanical beetles and 2 larger. (forgot name). All 4 rush you at the same time. Kill the small mechanical beetle asap or it will multiply into 6-10 of them and wipe your tank or party in no time.
Room 2: 1 small mechanical beetle thing again immediately. Again kill asap. All the beetles root/stun by the way. The assassins on the right will stun you for 10 seconds at a time so avoid them or cc them. To the left in the same room is a large group of mobs. When you pull them it will set off an alarm and bring more mobs. They will root/stun your tank. There are 8-10 mobs per group sometimes they stack together making it harder.
Room 3: here there are more beetles (kill them first). Then past them, there are archers standing about halfway up the walls. You need ranged attacks for them.
Hallway/room 4: more archers and mobs stunning/rooting. Nothing special. Although difficult. This brings you to the first boss.
This is all from easy mode by the way. I'm doing this all solo and it's turning into a great tp farm. :)

Quoted

Boss #1

HP in Hard Mode is ~25m+HP

This boss fight is pretty much a gear check as well as a agility check of your party.

The first thing you need to do is you need to assign 5 people certain roles.

4 People need to be assigned to pick up a torch*** (Best Assigned to DPS).
1 person needs to be assigned to pick up the flint (Best assigned to a heavy HP DPS or secondary tank).

***The torch can be found just before the boss room.

During this boss fight. You need to be on Ventrilo or Teamspeak. It is very difficult to coordinate together without the ability to talk to each other very quickly and without coordination.

The boss will disappear every 20% HP and will cause the lights to go out in the room.

The role of the torch people is to have one standing at each candle (and oil bucket) and have the person with the flint in the Middle of the room.

The person who has the flint will countdown for the people by the oil buckets to click them all together and run to the middle to use the flint. Then once the torches are lit. The candles are clicked on and the boss will reappear for another 20% HP burn. Many people have posted in this thread that running to the middle of room after the room is lit again is very important as the boss does a very hard hit if you don't? (Please confirm)

This many skills and is mainly ranged, has a line AoE & a AoE skill.

I have vague input from clearing on ez mode, but here go's.

first boss: every one gets stick, pull boss, tank has maybe 3-5 sec to get some aggro, stack in mid, person getting flint says wen party has to light bucket/candle.

one other boss (unsure of name or order), the one with the coffin in the middle of the room, party members must have "Mystical Rune" (spelling) from orb looking things on the way to the boss, and this boss fight is very very similar to one from ch2...ill say that much :|...

unsure of full strats for most boss fights as all im used to doing is grabbing a boss and turnin it around, so i dont pay attention that much ;)...lol

hm, last boss was a joke tho, on ez mode atleast, no strat there, didnt even have t0o burn, i think it must have had about 250-400k pdef...:/...

Few notes on what seen lastnight on first boss:
Boss1:
1st. Make sure the flint has been obtained by 1 person (cept tank)

2nd. Make sure everyone has a torch (cept your tank, can be a person doing torch).
3rd. Tank will try to keep boss where she spawns to reduce the number of people hit by shattersotm.

4th. When boss is engaged she will disapear after a certain amount of time, at this time the 4 torch bearers should run to there torch and hit some kind of pre determided command that says they ready.
5th. After all 4 have verified they ready click ont he oil then run back to center and have flint person light the torches. After this you run back to the candle you called and light it. All 4 must be done withing 5 seconds of each other or she shoots them out and have to redo. You get only 6 tries at this, however once the lights on you have a short time to damage the boss before she shoots them all out and you have to repeate the lighting process.

***********************************************************
She does spam the scout AoE Shatterstorm it is a 5 hit AoE and she can use them back to back. There is no cooldown for this. We got hit by it and soon as it ended she casted again.
The first time room goes dark seems to be at 80% and the 2nd time she took our lights out was 60%. We are assuming that she does this every 20%.
You are given I think 6 flints so you have to make them count as if she does infact go every 20 that is atleast 4 times she will blow them out (80,60,40,20) leaving you with only 2 extra flints.
****************************************************************
Sadly we where unable to make it past the 60% blow out of the candles so unable to post anything further then first boss.

^ thnx for clearing that up and making it so much more readable than what i wrote ;)

also, on a side note...the archers in their, and even the first boss's arrows...i think their arrow is magical maybe? its not physical i know that for a fact cuz i know i popped holy sheild for the group once and they still got popped and just to make sure...on the way to one of the other bosses, theres like a funnled choke point with 2 archers on top accross from eachother, well i tried to shoot it with my t6 assembled parts bow (lol) cuzit was jackin every one else up, i could shoot it with vamp arrow but not shot for some reason, but i poped candy right b4 she shot me in the face, and still got me...its gotta be magical i guess, and im assuming all the arrows in your face in their is all magical, but i now their not physical.

75% of the strat for the first boss has been posted.

Please let me know if I missed anything.

noticed on first boss: her shatterstorm is at least the first of these two things.

1: %based.i'm thinking something on the order of 24.9999999% as 4 hits at full health left the four people hit at 1 HP.

2: variable hit AoE, this is based on a factor of how many people are in range. i believe it's cast on one person and ALSO everyone within x distance, and does one extra hit per person in that range. so if 4 people are close and she picks one of them, it's 4 hits. 5 people, 5 hits. (on each person)

next i'm not very clear on, but what i've seen is, she casts piercing shot. when she does this, it seems to hit everyone in line once OR, hits a single person twice. though targetting is sketchy, i have no clue how she determines who she picks yet.

oh wow not many people posted on this yet. I know this wont be very accurate but here it goes.

Boss 2.

What we did was burn him to60-50% he puts up his sheilds /immunity at a certain % oh his hp no matter what. He then does an aoe or sumthing that usually kills a couple of our mele dps. We usually hae a scout or ranged kite the adds while tank moves boss around so no one gets hit by his aoe. It's easier to kill the adds so they dont interfere with the boss fight. however im sure theres people thats jsut burn before and burn after.

you do not want to kill the adds because that kills a player.

this is a short version, coordination and timing issues are up to you:

a) burn to 60-50% , then theres an aggro reset + shield/immunity (DOTs seem to do full damage still while the shield is up
a2) watch out for aggro-increase buffs, the 50-30% part gets very messy really quick
b) continue until 30%
c) he casts a big AOE. run behind the BIG shields in the room 2 persons each to get a protective bubble.
d) (tank atleast) as soon you see the protective bubble come out behind the shield and grab the boss
e) c+d until down while he continously resets aggro and casts his aoe (while casting hes on the spot from the beginning of the fight)

sidenote: adds need to be between death and 10% HP ( 0>add<30k) , kinda ugly with 300k HP. 1 dead add = 1 dead player (2-4M damage)

Just a little to add to what there is so far:

1st boss- Casts a debuff on random members of the party (looks like flames shooting out) after candles are re-lit. Can be cleansed by a priest or a druid/scout's Group Exorcism elite.

2nd boss-from 50-30% (if I remember correctly) seems to cast a debuff on whoever has aggro, reduces armor.

there was another debuff on me which reduced LP / MP and movement speed, is that only on <30% ? did not check before the boss reached that.

May be one of the adds? I know the mage interrupt casting and I believe the soldier stuns/fears. Could be wrong.

Excuse the double post, but heres a few bits to help finish up 1st boss so we can move on to 2nd, so on:

-On easy/normal every person in the party (not recommended) can grab a torch. In Hard mode, only 4 torches will be available, so make sure only those who are designated to do the candle lighting grab the torches.

-Flint is at the left candle nearest the boss, we usually designate the priest (group heal hits the candle lighters if spaced correctly) to flint, has been done with a dps/tank flinting as well. Your preference.

-When the the 4 designated lighters have oil, it is important they do *not* stack on the flint, rather be spaced a little (think of the "5" side of a dice) so arrows do not crossover and stack, which is almost an insta-kill

-After each time the room lights up, and before the room goes dark again (20% intervals) theres a chance she'll shoot a debuff at random members of the party. The name escapes me, but looks like fireballs shooting out of the boss and to the targetted members, and must be cleansed by a priest or druid's Purify, or a d/s Group Exorcism. If not cleansed or healed through, after a few seconds the affected person will die. Caking neglects dmg.

-To cleanse the debuff using druids, we have everyone run to the druid for aoe cleanse, then back to torch lighting. Recommended for both normal/hard as stacking on the tank or a gathering where traffic is can cause a wipe due to arrows stacking/overlapping.

-Boss despawns fairly quickly, so loot up :D

My recommended group setup (normal):
1 Priest (or another druid)
1 Druid/Scout
1 Tank (k/s, k/p, k/w, wd/w, w/k have all tanked this in my experience)
3 dps (any combo, this fight is very light on dps)

Hard mode:
2 priests
2 druids/scouts (Group Exorcism)
1 tank
7 dps

***The above is just from my experience, what I'm comfortable running with, and what has worked out with who I have ran so far.***

Thanks for the tips. One question:

We usually have difficulties with torchers because Jenny very often fire at the torch guys and counter them "oiling hands" and "lightning the candles". Any way to avoid it?

Would a WD/S work for DPS

Could a WD/s be part of a party (DPS). Its so very few so i dont know what a wd/s dps output could be at end game??/

We had a Warrior/Warden come a WD/S a few times ( so he was endgame chain geared with just an additional t10 GCHM xbow). DPS seemed okish and especially very useful in bombing trashgroups together with other Warriors, Mages and Scouts. Chiron does quite a bit of damage. Dont expect R/S or W/WD Maxdps values, otherwise you should be fine.

@zippich: one of three choices:

worst choice: try your luck.

bad choice, but doable: wait till after the first shatterstar attack by jenny, at that point, all her attacks should happen two seconds after you finish something, such as flint click, candle click, blah blah.

best choice: when she reaches each interval of 19% (81%, 61%, 41% 21%) make your group stop DPS, run tot he buckets, and when they're all there, push it, and click immediately after the room starts to go dark. shatterstar should hit as you're running to mid so not overlapping, and either again on your way back from the flint, or you won't get a second shatterstar if your group moves fast enough.
