Being sore about it does not absolve one from being rational and using basic logic. There is a reason why limit was put on HPs, and it has everything to do with HP vendors and nothing to do with currency tab. And "expect that if GF moved tokens to the currency bag, they would put a cap on it, since that seems to be their MO based on past actions" is unworthy "hasty generalization" fallacy from you, disappointing all the more because you always make sense in your posts otherwise.
WTH are you even talking about? lol Half the darn items on the currency page has a cap on it and there's no good reason for it. What are the items that don't have a cap?--dreamland whatever, poms, and siege badges--items which no one will ever get that many for them to have to worry about. Do you not know that the number of phirius tokens we can have already has a cap? It's six pages in your backpack plus your bank. Do you really believe ROM is going to give us that many pages worth of space for free without putting a limit? Who's the one being irrational and illogical here?

I'm on Vwiffo's side here on saying that the caps on the currency page are not a result of them being added to the page when it was created. Those caps already existed. Why those caps existed/exist is a different question. Throw out the honor point cap which is a different beast and had nothing to do with space obviously.

If GF/RW want your phirius tokens to take up space, then they simply won't do anything. I'm placing my bet on that non-action. :) As always, I could be wrong. :)

I concede to Pink Hats logic. I can only blame myself for still feeling sore about losing over 500,000 honor points without compensation.

Phbttt... heh-heh.... :D

I lost a whole bunch of points too. At first, I was annoyed, but then I asked myself a question "If those points were all that valuable, why have I accumulated so many without spending them?" So, the same question to you. Those points dont accumulate that fast. If you lost several years worth of unspent points, how important could they have been in the first place?

While I cannot speak for all, the main reason I did not spend Honor Points before the cap was for the Rankings. Of course, once HP was capped, there was no more point in having that ranking... so now it's a matter of "use it or lose it."

Also, don't forget that aside from mats there wasn't really any thing worth buying with HP (except for a one time purchase for anti-root siege gloves). Now with siege gear, it's a little more worthwhile.

*ding, ding, ding* Not a little. Siege gear is absolutely a very worthwhile use of HP. And, at that point you have to ask yourself "does it makes more sense that hey capped HPs because they put them in currency tab, or does it more sense because they added new HP gear and didn't want people insta-geared".

Please read again. Yes, the siege gear available after HP was capped was and still is a very good investment. However, before the cap the only gear available was level 50. It was worth getting the gloves the root break ability that came with it, but for the rest it was better to use normal PvE equip and stat it for siege.

We are not really disagreeing. My point is that HP cap had everything to do with HP gear and nothing with currency tab. And you are saying same thing but in another way (before cap, HP barely useful, after cap, HP good).

Either way, this is drifting off-topic. This is about phirius tokens, not HP. But here is a question for people - do you know if any non-HP currency limits changed when currency was put in tab? I know mentos didn't change, what about others?

No, I cannot recall any other currency changing.

I used honor points for purchasing mats when I wanted some crafted gear. Which did not happen often, but still if you wanted OD gear of a higher color, you would need to provide a lot of mats.

I believe what they should have done was to announce that they would be putting a cap on honor points to have given us the opportunity to have spent them. But that is all water under the bridge now.

I also do not see any reason to not put Phirius tokens in the currency bag, if they are not capped.

I don't see why anyone would be against a non-capped (no lower than previous poster mentioned already existed), Phirius tokens in the currency bag.

I suspect/guess/hypothesize that there's a reason it wasn't originally added. To me, it seems extremely obvious that it should have been, which suggests they didn't want to add it. And yes, I suspect it's the space they take up. I could be way off base, though. :)
