Bug in the "Key Making Quest"

Lola's uncle Justin "Pumkinhead" told me that he needed 12 newt saliva. After gathering the required amount it told me the quest was complete. I returned to him, but there is no option to complete this quest. I threw away all my newt saliva and went and "harvested" 12 more. The results were again the same. HELP.

You need more more then just that. IIRC You need to go to Helen's Farm for something and The mines in Pioneer colony.

That completed msg was just telling you, you have all the newt saliva.
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

From what I see this thread is getting ready to be moved to Not a Bug, but I would like your feedback, bkelley65, first.

Arguably, the mechanic of multi-part quests is counterintuitive enough to be considered a bug. The game establishes early on that when you have quest targets, they are marked in red dots or yellow dots on the map. And when you complete the quest, the dots go away.

Multi-part quest work differently. The game keeps track of the parts which you completed and still need to complete (which is why you get completion message on collecting 12 salivas). But it does not deactivate the dots for the completed parts. So you look at the map and see all those "here are your quest targets" dots, but they are actually not. Your quest target is elsewhere, to complete the parts of the quest that are not yet done. That is why new players are confused about whether the quest (or rather part of the quest) is complete or not, because they get mismatched indicators.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I'd like to point out here that you are not told the quest is complete when you collect the 12 Newt Saliva, but you are told that particular condition of the quest is complete. There are further conditions to be completed before you receive a message saying that Conditions for Quest Completed: <<insert name of quest>> appears on your screen.

I will look into it again and see if I missed something. You have my permission to move it. Thanks again to everyone who answered.
