Dust Devil Canyon

Is the terrain in DDC really black , blocky and acid trip styled or is this a bug? Hope its a bug after 10 mins of playing im getting a migraine.

Your client has corrupted texture files-easiest fix is to download & install a fresh (new ch5) client.

Corrupt textures are apparently caused by a/v software stopping a part of the patcher from working correctly. It's best to temporarily disable your security software during patching.

Does that mean I have to uninstall or ust install over it? Thanks for the help.

You should be able to install over the existing game files with no issues.

I've got this same kind of problem, terrain looks really blocky (ddc black, tb green squares, etc)...where would i find the manual downloads available to fix this? I've had to do manual updates on occasion, but would i just download the last patch, or all since ch 5 release?

Repatching won't work. The issue stems from older clients being patched into chapter 5. You'll have to uninstall the game and reinstall using the new chapter 5 client. I had the same problem so I reinstalled using the box copy which is a chapter 3 client, and that didn't fix it. So I reinstalled again using the chapter 5 one and it resolved my problems.

Before reinstalling, make sure u back up ur screenshots, addons, and ur character saved folder.

The bottom one wont show unless u have "hidden files and folders" enabled.
