Can not get to Forums from main website

From http://www.runesofmagic.com/us/home.html I click Community, Forum and get the following,

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tx_FrogsterLogin_Domain_Model_User::setIdBlock() in /var/www/master/t3runesofmagic/web/typo3conf/ext/frogster_login/Classes/Controller/UserController.php on line 173

In the past since the new site was implemented, I would click Community, Forum and get the website background and the ROM banner with COmmunity Account ans so on with nothing else, then would click Community, fOrum then would end up at the forums.


Using Windows 7 Pro 64bit IE9 with all updates. I believe this started on Sunday.

I own a computer business so I tend to know what I am doing and have done all the clear temp & so on.

I am in the US logged in on a US account.

Obviously something was changed, looking at the error.

Don't use IE....

Microsoft confirms hackers exploiting critical IE bug, promises patch

I can't believe people still using IE. It's like asking for trouble in bar full of thugs...

As for forum, opens fine in FireFox for me, but after 2nd or 3rd try.

The address I posted is what I am forwarded to when I go to www.runesofmagic.com

So it appears that www.runesofmagic.com is not properly forwarding to http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/home.html

A different machine with Windows XP SP3 and IE 8 also improperly forwards to the link I posted in my OP.

However, the XP machine with IE8 does not get the Error script I listed above. It does, however, take two tries to get to the forums like both RoMage and myself indicated above.

So the address I am clicking away from is not necessarily the issue because the XP machine gets to the forums from the incorrect link.

You may have something else that's gone wrong. I just tested the link that I posted, using IE9 on Windows 7 HP 64-bit. It went right to where it was supposed to go--the US RoM main website page.

I also went to the EU main page and clicked on the US flag in the upper right corner of the page, with both IE9 and Opera 12. Both times it brought me to the US main website page.

I'd suggest, if you're going to continue to use IE9, that you go into wherever it stores cookies and delete those for both the US and EU websites. Or, you can download and install Opera or FireFox (I don't use Chrome and don't personally recommend it since it's had some issues with our website.)

he is correct, www.runesofmagic.com (top level of the site) forwards to wrong site. (www.runesofmagic.com/us/)

That is why I had 2 clicks, first one went to the site above, then from there it moved to correct site.

Also if you search for RoM in google, top match is www.runesofmagic.com, so all new players would end up on wrong site.

What I posted and said is that http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/home.html is the correct URL to get to the US website, and http://www.runesofmagic.com/en/home.html is the correct URL to get to the EU/English website. The main website links were changed two or three weeks ago. I seem to recall a couple of US forum threads discussing the change at the time, and some of the problems related to the changes.

Now, having said that, it seems that if you go to www.runesofmagic.com, the redirect isn't working the way it should. It does take you to the URL both you and ipeacefrog listed. I've reported this to Dionaea, and she's kicking it further upstairs so it can be addressed (pun intended, I kill me sometimes). :D

In the mean time, it would be a good idea to replace your existing bookmarks that you may have with http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/home.html for the US website and http://runesofmagic.com/en/home.html for the EU-English website.

And while we play with bookmarks (not sure how to call it - 'fail game forum & web site' for now sounds good :p ( pun not intended :D ) you should go trough your signature and fix links. Even most important one, 'Recharge Diamonds' is not workin'.

Or you have to contact above entity to ask for approval? :D
