Eternal Flames quest glitched?

I have a quest called Eternal Flames out in Rorazan where I have to use a life energy extractor on Krolin when he spawns. I have used the extractor before we fight, during the fight, after the fight on the level 75 Krolin and the level 57 Krolin. The life energy extractor disappears and I dont get the item required for the completion of the quest.

I have tried this almost every time Krolin has spawned in the last 3 weeks with no avail.

I believe it turns krolin into hardmode my friend.. before anyone pulls the boss, you use the extractor on him... he enrages turns into OP krolin... then you fight him... when the fight finishes you should either automatically get the item you need, or you have to loot the item.. but you need a full raid party to do my friend. He is pretty damn hard. I think when he goes into hardmode version he gots like 20 mil hp + idr tho

Thats what I was told by one of my guildies, but the flame essence or whatever doesnt show up in the loot at all. Weve done a few full raids and a few guild raids and so far nothing but constantly taking and retaking the quest to get the extractor back.

Ive even tried to do it by myself which ended in a very quick death lol.

hmm im not sure then, i need the quest myself, so if u guys do run it again hi me up and i can try to figure it out with you guys again, i did it on mgk already but not this toon.
