So any news on this being fixed ever.. and even the quest after it? Or am I going to be level 60 forever? Not sure how anything could be much more important than not driving away new players (like me and many others on my server) by not being able to fix a major quest line.

I submitted a ticket on this issue on 12/27 and now after 11 days I get this reply:

apparently they think if they just wait long enough before replying that the problem will magically go away on its own, or perhaps they're hoping we'll just forget that we had problem to begin with. im guessing this is the lame generic response they're sending to everyone that submitted a ticket over the last couple weeks.

i understand sometimes there are problems that they have to wait for runewaker to fix and there may not be a whole lot they can do about it, but i think this is a good example of the poor service from gameforge support.

I got the same reply about the quest "First Meeting" being broken for me. Even though it said it was closed it let me reply to it so I did.

this quest was bugged on Palenque too. However, after maintenance this morning i was able to turn it in. Now the next quest "surprise attack" is bugged loool

Well, they did the maintenance, and I gave it a try, and still the quest is bugged! I've sent them a ticket. I wouldn't be surprised that they'll give me that same response. I've put money in this game, because it has potential, and now I am dead stuck until that quest is fixed. Do the admins have any idea what any of us is going through that frustration of being stuck? How do they expect us to progress if a main line quest is bugged?

You don't "have" to do the main questline. You can continue on, do side quests, dailies, kill mobs, do instances, etc.. Granted, this is not ideal, but it is not a "requirement" i.e. it is not the end of the world. No excuse for them to not fix it, and I expect it will be fixed, but life does go on.

While I agree that you can still do other quests and dailies, the main questline is where the majority of the XPs are granted. It's true that life does go on. So for now those that are stuck are limited to those options. And I will put my effort in giving it a shot.

I really hope they fix this sooner.

Try leveling from 57-62 with no daily resets, no double exp event, and no main quests from the Morrok line, and then come back and say main questlines aren't necessary.

You get stuck at ~59-61 even with both main questlines and all side quests. There's just barely enough exp to get by without double exp events.

Seriously? Not a requirement? I believe you have to complete the main questline to get to the new zones (if you want more then about 5 quests out there)

Even so the amount of side quests available are not able to level you to 75. Especially since a lot of the "side" quests can't be done until you go through the main quest line. Consider the new server that just opened up, even if they bought daily reset tickets to get to level 75, they are incapable of even getting to rorazan and beyond.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

I had to laugh at the NOT required part.
The main questline MUST be done to open side quests and to go from TB to AKoR. Just try to skip it you will get no where.
Once again an major bug stopping "new" players from enjoying the game.

I fail to see how the GM/CM's can provide such an ETA when tracing the cause of the issue could be a long & onerous task.

I mean, the code may not be broken but something new that's recently been added to the game may be having the unintended side-effect of interfering with the code surrounding Raid Plan and figuring out where that code is and then fixing it could be something that requires much effort.

Don't get me wrong, though - I'm not giving Runewaker an excuse to take their time over this. They should be getting it fixed PDQ - but we need to realise that isolating bugs in a game as large as RoM is no small task.

Laugh if you want, but I have one toon at 75/73/55 that left off questing in Savage Lands. It's not my main, so i don't care that much. My main ported him to AKR where he marked the snoop, I did this mainly to get the faster dailies that are there. The only quests he missed out on are the ones in the city. One of these days i may take the time to finish out his quest line...maybe...but it is really not necessary.

dont get me wrong but.. i dont think after a month almost that anyone has yet to even check in to it, or have even given any updates to this
