My account has been rolled back!

I crashed so hard earlier that not only did I re-enter the game on a different class combo, I lost every action/item I had performed/accumulated today.

Gold, diamonds, mail,crafted items, etcetera... you name it, it has all been erased.

Yes, I have submitted a ticket.

Same thing happened to me! i went to sleep in the guild library, with a full backpack of petharvesting items, i wake up to the login screen, and ask my guild if they been disconnected and they say no... when i login, im in LOGAR (there is no guildcastlepoint in logar) my backpack has No harvesting/harvested items and 3 quests i had Turned In, were back in mybackpack... why/HOW would RoM just roll me back and not the whole server... :(

According to my war record, the last time I was on R/P was the siege before maintenance. At least now I know how far back I crashed. :mad:

Hopefully they fix this broken down (insert expletive here).

I had a rollback as well.. things I crafted to sell are now back in my bags so i have to redo the work to craft, i had bought an adv agg and angelsigh last night, the outfit i agged is gone, as is the angelsigh, but the dia was restored.. so obviously a rollback of some kind >.< I'm sure there's other stuff awry too but what i notice offhand

I'll join in.

I have 5 alts farming 100 shells a day and sending me the stats as soon as they get 300 and do a pull. I am keeping number of shells even between all toons. Today everyone has 100 shells, but my main has 200. That means he rolled back 2 days. That last batch of stats, all 6 of them, are gone, so I lost 6 puries. Well, maybe 5 if the puri I used on main is still on him.

Also, the castle buff I have is Invincible Attack I. We have upgraded the tower to II yesterday. That further confirms that my toon has been rolled back 2 days.

Near as I can tell, that is related to SW weirdness.

Same Happening to me. Each day my toon goes back one day before the last roll back. I got stuff I sent back, lost stuff I bought, got diamonds I spent back. And stuff disappears everywhere - house, bank, backpack... Yes, I also opened a ticket.

Same happened to me, but only a few hours. I am guessing when that everything I did since trying to enter siege last night was null and void. I relogged into the game about 2 hours after siege, and all that was done was gone, the gold I got from my mailbox from AH sales, the 2 pieces of Tribute gear I bought my d/s. Sent in ticket for this one, and have a ticket out for my r/s that has had its tinc feather dagger missing for a couple weeks. I am afraid the items and gold are gone forever because I got a response back with:
"We checked (character name) / Osha, but unfortunately cannot reproduce the loss of the mentioned item.
Please check the item name again, perhaps you are mixing something up here.
Do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions."
I did add more time ranges onto that ticket but still have not received anything back.

Now I'm afraid to buy diamonds as that too surely would be gone if I end up in the rollback error. I wonder if it would be fixed faster if it was people getting there diamonds back after gifting other characters stuff? I am sure that is happening if it is rolling the character back and not the server. Which is what it looks like it is doing, because if it was both I would still have my gold from AH sales in my mailbox.....

What time did it happen?
Was your character still on-line and you saw the login screen?
Did it happen right after you went into Siege?
Did it happen without going into Siege?

My roll back occurred on Feb, 27 at approximately 17:23:56 (I checked my ROM log file.)

I was in Varanas lower city west.
5:23 pm too early for siege.
I got kicked to the log-in screen.

I have contacted support, my tickets are "pending" :confused:

I am not technically oriented, how do i see how far i was rolled back? I noticed when i logged in today that i was not wearing the clothes i had on when i crashed last night, and then discovered the pet i had lvl'd to 34 was back to 30 and the pet i had merged it with was still there in the interface. My biggest problem is that i purchased diamonds during the event and they are gone, that was cash spent directly thru paypal!! Ticket has been submitted, hoping for full restitution of my diamonds or cash. Im not as concerned about the mems and phirus that are gone.

This is one of those cases where the understanding of architecture of ROM servers could help. Rollbacks don't just corrupt the character, apparently; they take a legitimate consistent character snapshot and use it as current even if it is not.

So, under what circumstances would ROM make such a snapshot? I can see Siege being one. With difficulties entering siege and toons being stuck in limbo, I can see how improper entry to siege would confuse the exit from siege, perhaps enough to grab wrong toon. But, people are reporting it happening not around siege.

So, ROM, how about sharing some information on the internal operations of servers?

Progress loss at rollback is bad, of course, but the situation where you are moving things to your character only to lose them in rollback is the real problem. Lorrah bought diamonds, they are gone. I moved some stuff from my alts to main, it is gone.

I would say if you can, move all that you can off your playable toons. Anything unbound and valuable should be put in other type of storage - GV, mail storage, AH storage. Are houskeepers safe? Is bank safe? Both can hold the bound items. Knowing that would help to take precautions.

Me and two guildies got rolled back. No reply yet.

My situation is fairly benign; I lost 5 fail stats that I sent from my alts, and all I really want back is 5 puries. So, I expect to be put on bottom of the list. But a guildie bought dias and then got rolled back; so she is out of dias *and* out of money she paid for dias. I expect that to be higher priority; yet she has not heard back either.

To be fair, her ticket is more recent. Still, I'd expect for her to have heard something by now.

And, yes, I checked spam folder too. Besides miracle cure for my PMS, there was little there of consequence.

No reply back on mine either, lost 2 pieces of gear for my 60 d/s and about 5 mil...... not a huge loss, but still a loss and yet no responses yet from support. And mine was during the siege time or shortly after, rolled back it looked to be only a few hours.

Sad thing is i already replaced the gear, assuming I will not get anything back.....LOL

more concerned with the tinc feather i lost on my rogue..... but was offhand so not complete fail of a rogue......

On the 1st, last Friday. So, also week old. It did get processed a little and got ticket #, but nothing much else.

Not unexpected in my case, so I don't care much. Heck, I have similarly simple issue at work to be dealt with, and that ticket has recently celebrated its 2-month old birthday.

He-he... No, not quite like that. And ticket is much worse than GF support. It is government agency support. They are having hard time reconciling "you must edit report logic written in package XXX" directive with "Package XXX is not on approved software list any longer" directive. At least GF tickets are technical in nature, they need someone to do some work to get them solved.

Back on topic... Any rollbacks occurred since Siege got fixed? I suspected it has everything to do with failed siege entry, but people said that some rollback occurred not around siege time and siege problems. So, curious if we are still in danger and should be doing the proper precautions.

I have checked my tickets and account info daily and no reply from Gameforge on my tickets. It's been 5 days and i really want my money back or my diamonds re-instated. The 4 bars of progress I lost on my secondary can easily be made up, the roll-back on my pet was costly, but not my biggest concern. It should not be that difficult to track my diamond purchase during that sale!! This is becoming extremely frustrating.

Anyone got a reimbursement? I just got a ticket answered and answer was that since there was a rollback, they can't reimburse me. Ummm... isn't losing item shop items due to game operation issues, like rollback, a sufficient reason?
