can you get to char selection screen? if so..make a new toon real quick and see if you get in. i had that happen when a file in my mydocuments folder became corrupt

My warlock is bugged. Every time I try to log into it (it is on one of my other accounts) the client gets about halfway through the first loading screen and crashes out. I hit send for the report, have done so several times (still not sure if those ever get read through). I would like to have my toon moved to a different location, because I have the feeling the issue is something my toon is looking at.

This toon has all of my leveling gear on it, so getting back into this toon is of paramount importance to me.

Go into your documents folder and find the hidden runes of magic file. Find your characters name who is affected and delete the file. That should fix it.

To be more precise, under runes of magic, you have a folder matching your character name, and in that folder, several files specific to that toon. The file you want to delete is savevariables.lua file, in that folder.

That said, deleting the whole folder would not be that bad either. Little in it of much consequence, besides savevariables.lua.

You will lose your character-specific settings. It is not that big a deal - most important settings are client-specific, not character specific. Still, backing up that folder is worthwhile, or just rename it to something other than your toon name.

server save checked? if it is, try it unchecked (hell, if it isnt checked....try it unchecked)

(also, the last patch that fixed siege did quite a few changes to functions. some addons may throw odd errors but just a guess)
