I've set the traps right next to John Carter and trapped Ankles right next to him 2x tonight. Ankles talks his talk, but quest is not finished.

Do you attack him till he puts the Debuff onto you then you run to Quest Giver and place down trap?

Try removing all your add-ons first by dragging teh add-on folder to your desktop and re-logging. I have found some quest non-completes to be due to some add-on conflict, but have not bothered to figure out which, cause you can just drag the folder back and re-log to get your add-ons back. Worth a try.

I was able to complete it tonight after restarting the client. I must not have had the 2 minute buff when I trapped him the other times.

anyone else havin issue with this quest again? i can hit him till im blue in the face and no debuff ive trapped him several times, restarted client, removed addons LOL... all of it... cant get this guy to give me the 2 min debuff this time ><

UPDATE imma noob (though everyone knows that) XD

anyways he gives a 2 min debuff the moment you aggro him... and if you try range pulling him (like I was doing), you would be too far away to get the 2 min debuff to be able to complete the quest correctly.

Only posting this, so people like me, who google the quest, and it leads me here, will find some sort of results to help :)
