This is easy to explain - when your level is 10 (I think?) above the quest level, the yellow "!" above the givers head is not shown. (There are a few quests that do not follow this rule.)


As for blank maps at Thunderhoof Hills onwards, it sounds like you didn't start the quest chain that takes you there properly.

"Mysterious Torrog" in Aotulia Volcano at Dimarka Camp will start the quest chain that takes you to Thunderhoof Hills and following this chain will open up the quests in the continent of Zandorya for you.

In addition to what Kroagnon said, and pertaining to the second link you gave:

Open your Maps (M) interface and look for the Setup button in the upper right window frame. Click it and find the listing for "Show Quests Options" (I use WoWMaps, so the wording might be a bit different with WM not active.) Move your pointer to the right and make sure that the next listing, "Hide Low-Level Quests", is unchecked. This should unhide all low-level quests, regardless of the map zone you're in or looking at, and should affect both the main Map as well as the Minimap.

The link you provided is for a quest which is 10 levels (4 below your character level (5, and can be accepted at level 46. It's likely that the system is taking note of that and is hiding the quest marker.

Minor correction for my esteemed fellow Mentor: Mysterious Torrog is actually in Titan's Hill Camp in Aotulia Volcano. Accept his quest ("Fractured Verge") and then follow the quest line from there. It takes you directly to Thunderhoof Hills. You should easily be able to pick up both the Envoy of the Dragons and Return the Glory epic quest lines. These eventually merge into the Magical Reconstruction quest line.

Meh. Savage Lands Snoop transports you to the Outskirts of Dimarka; hence, Dimarka Camp.

However, you are correct* in that it is really Titan's Hill Camp that the map reference names it.
