I had alt farming a tower (till those silly opponents of ours started killing her on regular basis) and it didn't seem like she was creating too many crystals either. Maybe that is normal and most crystals come from extractors, but I watched her for a minute or so and she would complete extraction and the crystal count did not go up. At least not right away; it would go up eventually, but it is hard to say if it was her extraction effort or someone else's.
My guild did a test scrimmage and once we had all of the extraction buffs we were getting 8 crystals every 4 seconds per player extracting at the tower. We did notice that if your opponent doesn't have anyone in, YOUR crystals don't start building until they do. Also, the base amount now is 10 crystals every 10 seconds, no matter how many players per side (as long as each has at least 1). We tested the extractors also, zero crystals with and without battle time.
We (Fortuna, Osha) haven't sieged the past couple of nights. (Someone forgot to get us signed up and deserves to be sacked for that.) But I can confirm that on Wednesday night, immediately after the hotfix patch, the crystal extractors, even when Battle Timed, produced 0 crystals after they were set up.

Very nice work...

It also seems (but we have not done timing studies) that getting extractors is actually making crystal buildup slower.

Not been a good siege for those of us of rogue persuasion. With all the crystal based defenses becoming useless for practical purposes, it's been all FOTs and eyes for slowing down the enemy. And with no AOE and vulnerability to eyes, rogues are little less useful.

Oh, and Mal, they didn't give you sign-up rights? Tell your guild leader to get cracking and that you deserve promotion. :thumbsup:

We've used the extraction buffs from the Academy and they seem to work somewhat. We did gain some extra crystals that way, which, over time, are very helpful.

And no, I don't have sufficient rank to sign us up for siege. It took long enough to convince the people in charge that members of my rank should have the privilege of inviting new players to the guild.

I know it's still early, but some guilds have done siege already, so can anyone confirm or deny if the crystal extractors are working or are they still broke?

Crystal Extractors seem to still be bugged. Still only getting the default 10 crystals every so often with all the extractors up. Thank jeebus the academy buffs work decently well for the pole dancers. Helps supplement the lack of extractlamationness

i agree, it looks like extractors still arnt fixed

something else has bugged me

i have seen this but
not all the time, fact is our last two sieges and last nights siege, we had No enemy... but we accrued 10 crystals ever few ticks
