xp drop in ToSH bugs

So, i noticed a huge xp drop per mob killed while plvling in ToSH. like,
with all the buffs running i was getting 26~27k per mob. Suddenly, they
went down to 6~8k on most mobs, and, sometimes, one or another 26k
tick. I tried for 5 more times after i first realized that drop, and i
still haven't figure it out why sometimes it gives me the supposed
xp(26k). I have plvled a toon from 1 to 80 once, without noticing this
drop.

A few informations:
it started happening at lvl 74~75. I
tried taking the master/apprentice buff out, going with no xp buffs at
all, and the xp is still like a third of the normal. I tried with
another toon at the same level, but this time only using 20% pet and a
50% pot, and was getting 19k steady.

buffs on the bugged toon:
2 xp IV
50% xp/tp pot
newborn zodiac, 2x 20% IS pets
party xp buff(30%)
guild tower buffs
wedding food

Anyone noticed something like that? Everyone i talked to have never seem it themselves.

lol not a bug. 74/75? exp is based on level the mobs are like level 70-72 so when you get a 72 you get higher exp, then back down. Course expect exp in Tosh to drop severely after 72, you may have had house energy mitigating it or got a higher level mob.

Either way don't expect to effectively get exp in tosh on a level 72+ char or pleveling a 72+ char.

Yeah, ROM, fix the broken bugs. It's been 12 levels since Tosh is out, plenty enough time to disable spawning wrong difficulty mobs. You did it for Bela when it was spawning wrong difficulty mobs, now do it for Tosh.

It is getting so bad that <censored> players are not even feeling that they are exploiting a bug anymore and post <censored> threads about it.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I thought it was deemed not an exploit?

Well, the question revolves around game spawning mobs from difficulty other than the one set on a run. I don't see how it can be anything but software bug. It is certainly not a reasonable thing to do and no other instance does it for any of the instance mobs. Only other such case I am aware of was Belathis, when they spawned hard mode shades on easy mode run. And that got fixed relatively fast. Just because this, similar, mismatch is much older doesn't make it any less a bug.

Once you declare it a bug, then anyone taking advantage of it to gain large amount of resources (in this case XP) is exploiting. I can understand them not wanting to declare this to be exploit, though, because it would be very hard to enforce. Doesn't make it any less of one.

When I used to plvl I was told by someone that if you don't have the toon you're plevelling at the door, sometimes the exp does that. I could never figure it out but once I moved the toon to the portal it worked all good again. Not sure if that's your problem or not but I know that was mine.

Lol not a bug people. What's a bug is abusing the honor party system...

But really who the hell cares. Levelling alts in this game is so utterly terrible that it's amazing that ToSh allows an easier way to do it other than spending a thousand bucks on reset tickets. The last thing RoM needs is to make it MORE difficult to make an alt. It's horrible enough as it is.

I understand that its a bug. I just thought the official response from GF a while back is that you're allowed to farm TP in there.

In Belathis it happened at the boss fight which makes the whole instance mode unplayable for those lesser geared (and the main quest line runs through Belathis). Maybe the trash mob spawns at the beginning of the instance not giving any XP/TP are part of a learning process on Runewaker's side back from what happened in ToSH, but that is also speculation on my end.

The ToSH situation would have probably been officially declared an exploit if you would gain the amount of XP that hardmode mobs give while simply killing easy mode mobs. But since that is not the case, and merely the mother bugs in all three mods spawning the same ID of the child bugs, the one meant for hardmode (although by looking through some data quickly on the romwelten page there seem to be rather 5-6 different little mechanic bugs instead of the expected 3 ...) , you are getting the correct reward (xp for a hardmode mob) for killing the correct mob (a hardmode one), regardless where it came from.

Yes, super-strictly speaking the spawn should output a different version of the mob. But after looking at the situation, it was declared as ok to do in the past (that does not mean we put big signs everywhere that say "Hey, powerlevel here, yours truly, GF/GMs") , and I don't have any other information about it today, so ... fine with me.

You can still go and clear out any non bugmother mobs in that area on hardmode (or all the way till first boss) and then simply do the same thing. The difficulty is roughly the same today and a hit or two from a hardmode mother bug does not make a difference when there are endless amounts of little ones on the screen, if enough hit, you die. Unless the level of the farmer is so high already that he will dodge everything due to the level difference, but then it doesn't matter if he does not get hit by an easy mother bug or a hard one.

In the end: You can do it. What you of course shouldn't do is bug/exploit the honor group on purpose to level higher... - if you start leveling at 1 and just keep it as long it runs, no one minds. But if I see a level 70 with a "2h59 left" honor group buff ... that I do mind.
(Did I just agree with Borella on this? Really? .... ;))

its not really a bug imo its a penalty if you ask me. If you dont kill them fast enough. well u wipe. Theres been a million times in this game to where you dont kill something fast enough it either enrages, pops out a bunch of adds, does a powerful attack, w/e the case. u get the point.
