Title: Can't exchange diamonds for gold in plaza: Agnes Trade Merchant

Description: as per title. I exchanged diamonds for gold a few days ago but nothing is happening now. Really it is very difficult for a new player just starting. At least give me a diamond option on the housemaids then, seriously please. Players on server (Thalia) tell me the diamond to gold exchange has been disabled? So then how come I could use it a few days ago? And why on earth would a game stop me from spending money? Anyway, leave it with you. Nice little game you have here, it would be nice to play longer.

why on earth would u ever want to sell ur precious diamonds to a crap npc that will give u 1/10 of what a player would give u ?! :huh:

arent there any ppl in your server than want to buy ur diamonds?

The NPC that gives diamonds for gold was disabled. Not the NPC that gives gold for diamonds, even though the gold for diamonds NPC is useless as a player will pay more.

I believe the person is new, but achilleas1 is right. Do not sell your diamonds to the NPC. Even if there are not people you can find to sell diamonds to on Thalia at this point, save them for what hopefully will be a successful merger for Thalia in the somewhat near future. Hopefully near future.

I thought Agnes was useless and noone will use her.

Now I think she is positively harmful. Imagine how [irritated] OP will be when he compares now little gold he got from the NPC with what he could have earned from players.

(Bring in the promised safe and advertisable way of trading dias between players. Remove Agnes - an unfair trap for new/unaware players.)

You know when promises are more than 2 years old, well, learn to let it go loll. Diamonds NPC were implemented and as usual people exploited the crap out of it and they were removed, really doubt they will ever be put back

I believe they are referring to the 'alternative solution' to diamonds In the AH. Little bit less than a year ago, though not sure I would call it a promise, but more of a 'selling the Brooklyn Bridge' kind of statement. I would welcome being mistaken and pleasantly surprised by an 'alternative solution', which could have simply been reimplementation with a few changes, such as bound diamonds and no buying of megaphones or packages with megaphones, with bound diamonds. Though they seem to enjoy handing out free megaphones these days. :)

Thanks 4 all the responses, idk how 2 find my old posts, hence the delay in response, sorry v new.

I had to get gold, waiting for a server merger is hopeless given as a new player you start with very little coin and the Aussie server is extremely quiet; so no auction house trading on anything, as far as I can see. As a new player it is hard. Fortunately, I did find a player in my guild who traded with me , can't remember the rate but about the same as npc but in much larger amounts. I discovered the exchange npc will give me 350k gold for 10 diamonds once a day on each character I have, so it is doable now.

The guild tower buffs help a lot, without them, I think I would have given up, since there is basically no-one to play with. Another player, Rowan has helped me a lot, answering my questions etc...

Nice game really, pity the company doesn't seem very motivated about it. Never see ads up, or get emails encouraging me to spend, I joined because an old mate from another mmo, played RoM a while and posted on FB. Been taking a few screen shoots, thought I'd do the same, try and get a few more people to play.
