New log in gift bug

Title: Log in Gifts from 15th and 16th are no longer showing

Description: So earlier today I grabbed today's gift with my main. Now when I look at the gift menu it's missing today's and tomorrow's gifts, even for my alt on another account which hadn't collected yet.
A guildy who has characters logged in for a while isn't having the issue, except on recently logged in characters.

^ same for Erebos.

Collected earlier on a couple toons, got the stamp on the book. Now it doesn't even show the stamp
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Disabling the timer did not help anything therefore it has been disabled and we're switching back to the old "mail to first character to login on account" , see the announcement in events.

What was the purpose of a timer anyway? So why bring in a timer which does nothing but mess up the game cause the customers to complain and maybe leave. Whoever came up with the timer idea cost the company money in extra time and coding effort that did nothing but alienate the people who play the game. They are the reason there are less and less players in the game.

Why was it ever changed from just putting it in the mail, a system that worked for years without problems?

The timer wasn't the issue by what Saito said.

The timer may not have been the problem, but what was its purpose? All it did even if it worked properly was irritate people. The money and computer workers who created it could have bee far better used doing something positive for the game.

maybe new stuff like this needs to be tested more thoroughly?
and maybe put it into a situation where it can be stress tested as well

FYI - as Saito and Iso posted on another thread, it was tested, by a lot of teamlers from all the communities. I believe some of the actual testers had a part in it as well. And, as mentioned, everything worked during those tests. When it was deployed to live servers however the hamsters got sick and took a bunch of sick time.

The event that produced this bug isn't active anymore, but the bug has been noted. So, no longer valid as a bug with current version.
