K/S elite evil shackles

Title: K/S elite evil shackles

Description: This elite is supposed to be a root, but it's effect is a complete stun instead. Please fix this so that it's just a root as it is supposed to be. If this skill is left as a stun, at least put a cooldown time on it of thirty seconds to one minute so that it can't be spammed indefinitely. The effect and duration of this skill is disproportionately large compared to other skills of a similar nature, such as mage's lightning, which is only a root, or rogue's shadow prison, which is a stun but lasts only 5 seconds and requires 50% energy to cast.

Not a bug just like Bleeds on rogues, flame span of M/wardens or any other classes elites, why they are called Elites. Lighting is just a regular skill on mages not an elite ;-) are you getting killed by K/S?? well i get killed by M/warden all the time or even K/M, sucks but this only affects you in PvP if i am correct, so nerf skills/class cause it incommodate you an hour a day?? what class do you play? we need more classes to be broken since K/S wrecks everyone in siege loll

Skill description says it is a root, causes a helpless effect instead.
Holy Chains - "Roots your target with your holy powers for 10.0 seconds. (Can only be used on undead and demons)" Upgrades to 48 seconds in length
Evil Shackles - "Holy Chains is not limited to any target type, but when target is not an Undead or Demon target, effect time is reduced by half." Means it lasts 24 seconds on players (no pvp reduction)

Skill has no cd, has no target requirement, seemingly no cap on the number of targets. Pvp gloves do not work against it.

Its funny how we only see this popping up now despite facing several K/S before and almost none of them using it to then everyone exploiting a clearly disadvantageous skill. Funny that zid now claims k/s rocks because he finally found out what his skills do. And it isn't the k/s killing anyone, it's everyone else running in to kill players that are locked out of actions for TWENTY FOUR SECONDS. You can keep the 24 seconds for PVE content, it needs a pvp reduction.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Skill description says it is a root, causes a helpless effect instead.
If you don't get the difference by now there is something seriously wrong. Either change the tool-tip to helpless or make it a root.

P.S. would still need a PvP duration reduction

Shouldn't matter about what difference it is.

Warrior ISS - "Immune to Helpless, Stun, Root and Slow " obviously they are different distinctions between what is helpless and what is a root.

Mage's lightning is a root, knights shackles of light is a root, holy chains claims to be a root. Rogues shadow prison is a helpless effect (skill says "cannot move or use skills" a root does not prevent the usage of skills yet holy chains does just that.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

I'm not normally in favor of nerfing skills, but I believe this skill is clearly bugged or ROM has decided to make it totally different from other types of movement/skill restriction skills by having no cast time, no cooldown, and extremely long duration all rolled into one. Aside from the Mage Lightning and Rogue Shadow Prison mentioned in the OP post, here are other skills I can think of:

R/K 70 elite - stun that lasts 9 secs roughly at max but has a cooldown time of 30 secs.

S/R Blinding Powder elite - lasts only 5 secs but has a cooldown of 60 secs.

S/R Lasso Master elite - not certain what the max duration is, but has a cast time of 1 sec and requires 35 focus.

Warden Banish - lasts 20 secs I believe but the target is immune to all damage, plus has a cast time of 1 sec and a cooldown time of 60 secs.

Scout Neck Strike - stun only 3 secs duration and cooldown time of 30 secs.

Warrior Shout - stuns 5 targets but only for 3 secs and cooldown of 2 minutes.

All of these past stun-type skills seem to have some kind of limitations that prevent it from being continuously cast yet the K/S elite doesn't have any restrictions at all either at the start or the end. Also, as Sertet noted, it isn't even countered by PVP gloves, although I believe Rogue Escape skill works.

Plently of counters, and it's not like there are any good k/s's out there in PvP right now on the US servers anyway so this thread itself is pretty random ^.^

you press "G" or w/e hotkey to open the guild. go to "Battles" and then click on "Leave Battle". Jk..

I'd try and aggro balloons or small guards before a team fight or fight near enemy flame/electric towers. Target K/S first and silence/stun rotation and take him out first, hope you can tank anyone else around. That's about as much as you can do.

If you get caught it's game over. Valhalla had a K/S for a while, and when their noob Rogues weren't around, I'd
just sit there chained and take a Nirvasa-on-PvE-Gear W/M hit to the
face. Wasn't fun. I'm sure VVV ppl have worse experiences facing
Kanu-kun's K/S.

ell for it to be 24 seconds K/S has to max it out and pretty sure they got other skills to max before that one. but QQ all you want, should we start one with Iceblade? hide? Chiron? K/M? Mage/wardens? Champion? etc? learn the ways around it or reroll to a class you are able to play and comprehend. Next will be threads on : oh this is not fair, this guy hits me for 80K and kills me although i only hit him for 15K QQ.

Siege is no fun anyways, totally pointless and totally broken, you need rogues or any toon that can fear cap towers and you re good to go, wait for the last minute of siege and fear cap towers and YIPIE WE'VE WON!!! we are so OP loll. Until it is fixed there is no point for people to siege.

Rouge2priest post says it all, do you think if you face 4 K/S in one guild that it will make a difference on the outcome of siege? (having 4 of them in siege would be a miracle lol), no it wont cause they will not have enough DPS to do anything but annoy you with this skill and mainly all this skill does is just that. If you get killed my a K/S in siege, you probably shouldn't even be there in the first place. A handful of good K/S are outhere but then again you have to have guildies actually work together to make this skill worth a damn lol.

Knights are so OP in siege, they are responsible for 99.99% of the wins of all sieges lmao. Learn to play

I'd just like to maybe suggest that any existing k/s might want to "learn to play" if they are not seeing any large benefit in a group PvP environment.

No the k/s isnt the one doing the killing, thats the point, it runs in and locks down a whole guild in spot for a rush of others to come in and kill. There's only 1 good K/s out there that will fight without using this skill. Doesn't matter if the K/s is good or not.

If all they have levelled is that one elite to abuse, they can and will ruin any fun in siege.

Just imagine breaking down a gate, having most of your guild at it ready to run in, gate burns down, you get hit by holy chains in the doorway and watch that same k/s rebuild the gate in front of you. If a rogue doesn't have escape up then that gate is being rebuilt uninterrupted

zid <edited> doesn't mean there aren't other people capable of playing k/s and neutralizing basically an entire guild by themselves

it doesnt take 4 k/s, it just takes 1

give rogue 0 energy cost shadow prison that lasts 24 seconds and isn't pvp glove escapable and zid would probly have more threads than warriorking on the forum about it
