Party break and teleport back into time

Title: Party break, teleport somewhere else

Description: After breaking party I got teleported else where besides the zone the instances was in

Server: Artemis

Just happened again today, teleported from Varanas using black codex, went to RT, broke party to run it again, got teleported back to Varanas somehow when it should have been
plz fix

Been this way for a couple patches. It ports you back to where you last talked to a housemaid. Simple workaround: Use a Home-Sweet-Home right outside the instance. It's random, so doesn't happen all the time and can only happen when you break party while inside the instance.

Workaround works, yes, but not everyone has tons of home sweet homes, and when farming an instance this is incredibly annoying. It doesn't even look like it's been reported yet though so it probably won't be fixed.

I guess it sells transport runes, why fix it.

It did not teleport me back to a housemaid, it teleported me back to snoop in varanas.

It's very annoying, plus they already get enough sales from gear anyway

Another 'option' is to die once in the instance and rez out, then you'll be stuck in that zone.

I was still ported back to housemaid after dieing and rezing out a couple of times

The main problem is all "solutions" involve a cost to us.
Use a home sweet home outside the instance? works until you go to your house again, repeated cost about every day
Use a transport rune to go to the instance (if those even work for you)? Repeated cost after every run
Use an angel sigh? Repeated cost every day.
Don't use anything? Spend the next 10-15 minutes running back from albuquerque while you make everyone else wait on you (wasting not only your time, but your fellow players)

The only semi-reasonable thing to do is to have people visit the town, and enter their house there so that we don't get screwed when breaking party. Have fun legging it even further than before.


Obviously runewaker is rattling around in the transition/transport code otherwise these things wouldn't magically start happening as soon as the level 92 cap came along. Behavior was consistent prior to the cap (even if there was a bug sending you to a rez spot that was a little too far, it happened to every player). I'm just waiting for the runewaker fix that makes it so you get booted out of a world zone, guild castle or house when you break group
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to introduce other reasons (and new norms) of utilizing the item shop.

I say it goes with every random effect in ROM, Runewaker don't seem to put resources to keep the game going, just check the latest instance, it's been what now? 2 months and still can't get it to work. Runewaker programmers? probably kids in a sweat shop working for rice if they are lucky. What about the merge? yes 1 year and still no clue when that will happen, fewer and fewer people on the servers but everything is fine, less people for Gameforge to worry about if the merge does come.

Lack of communication, lack of interest in the community, lack of basic content working properly, but keep promoting Orcs unchained!! nice big booth and game shows to attend with that one. Sadly Runes of Magic is so low on their priorities that i see it shut down before any merge gets here :(

They also just hired 5 veterans from the gaming industry this week, guess by veterans probably meaning a free desk job for their retirement. Would love to see them prove me wrong :)

But enjoy the randomness of location issues, half hard mode bosses on easy mode, this game gets more random everyday that goes by. Crafting festival used to be end of June, beginning of July, guess will get it just before Halloween now :bday:
