Connection lost error trying to log in

Whenever I try to log in to the game, I keep getting a message that says "obtaining a server list," followed by an error message that says "Connection lost, please check connection or firewall setting." I have a very strong internet connection, and my firewall has been disabled. I don't know what else to try. I have never even played before, so I don't know what is "normal" for the game and what is a bug...
