Housing

I have just recently returned to RoM and had to start completely over. In the start up area for the elves, I clicked on the Housekeeper to get my house. This much I remembered from my previous play time. Got my crate of goodies and then when I clicked on the tab to send me to my house, it said the zone was not available. I noticed they had problems back in 2015. Have they not re-established the housing yet or is there another way to obtain housing that I am missing?

It is possible that the zone was just down when you tried. I see it's been about an hour since you posted. Can you try again?

If not, please let us know what server you are playing on so that we can look into it further.

I am on the Cath PVE server. Just went in and it says the zone is not open. I tried all 4 channels and got the same message every time. I appreciate you checking into this.

Sorry if you think I have crossed a line, but I did download the game for the US. Once installed, this is what they offered me. There were others, but I didn't recognize most of the flags, but I do know the flags of EU. Not sure how the game works when it just puts you where it wants. If I'm stepping on toes, I will be glad to take this to another forum. I am just trying to find out if the game still has housing.

The game still has housing, and it's a fairly important portion of a character's development I think.

It is possible for a zone to be unexpectedly not functioning, and the house zone is the most likely to have this issue.

If you're in north america, you might want to try starting again on a US server so you have more people to interact with and less ping overall. It's just a region setting in the game client launcher (but not gameforgelive launcher) that allows you to select a server.

Make a ticket to support in either region. Ask whether we can transfer them, as they were purchased in error in the last 30 days. Make sure the ticket account (register a new one) uses the email address attached to the game account. We'd have to forward it to a community manager to see if they'll swing it, but I think it could work.

I only suggest it because you'll be playing with people 6+ hours ahead of your timezone, and that could easily make it hard for you to get a group of people to interact with.

Hello Oz, sorry to hear that you created an account in different region then you wanted.

We would like to help you but we have no character transfer option. You should create a fresh account in US and then we can only transfer your diamonds. But, as my teammates said, please create a support ticket because without seeing character overview it is hard to say if its worthy or not.
